Jack Osbourne is engaged—and it’s his fiancée Lisa Stelly who broke the news. Does Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Age? Watch A 15 Year Morph In 3 Seconds

Does Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong Age? Watch A 15 Year Morph In 3 Seconds

Billie Joe Armstrong might be the most enduring teen girl crush object of our time. With Green Day’s longevity comes continuous waves of high school girls who all think the spiky haired rocker is the cutest. (We were there ourselves, about two waves ago.) Because although Billie Joe’s 38 years old, he still has that goofy little boy thing going on. Which makes us wonder: is Billie Joe actually ageless? Is there some sort of Dorian Gray thing going on with our favorite East Bay punker? We took a photo from Saturday’s 300th performance of American Idiot and one from the 90s and morphed them together. You be the judge of whether Billie Joe’s stumbled across the Fountain of Youth.

Rain? What rain? Celebs braved a nasty downpour to attend the 2010 Tony Awards on Sunday at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. Christopher Walken had a personal umbrella holder. Scarlett Johansson arrived with a better accessory: husband Ryan Reynolds, or as she refers to him, “My Canadian who I live with.” Lea Michele brought her BFF Jonathan Groff; meanwhile, an audience of fans gathered across the street, howling for the divalicious Glee actress and other stars including Daniel… More »

Sean Hayes, Kristin Chenoweth Mock Newsweek Writer At Tony Awards

Crushable got a glimpse of tonight’s Tony Awards action at a dress rehearsal for the show, where we watched host Sean Hayes have some fun mocking the Newsweek writer who called him too gay to play straight. Sean, also nominated for his role in the Broadway revival of Promises, Promises, was joined onstage at Radio City by co-star Kristin Chenoweth, who was “not-minated.”

“I just had to come out here and give you a kiss for good luck,” she purred, proceeding… More »

Just as we were getting over the hangover of award season, it starts again with the Tony Award nomination announcements today. And not surprisingly, as more Hollywood celebrities make their move towards Broadway, more and more of them are being nominated, like Catherine Zeta-Jones (for A Little Night Music) and Kelsey Grammer (for La Cage Aux Folles). Scarlett Johansson snagged her first Tony nom for her role in the play A View From The Bridge. And notably, all five… More »

Good Luck Getting Those American Idiot Tickets Now

Good Luck Getting Those American Idiot Tickets Now

Green Day’s Broadway musical (whoops, that’s a phrase that really shouldn’t exist) has gotten rave reviews in The New York Times and previewed to a celebrity-packed audience including Paul Rudd and Ian Somerhalder. We predict it’s going to be the Rent for the “post 9/11 generation.” This is not a plea for ticket, btw (though if any publicists are reading this…we’re available to review).

Economic Crisis Kills Aussie Concert Calendar

Economic Crisis Kills Aussie Concert Calendar

2009 could be a quiet year for concertgoers as the economic crisis bites local booking agencies.

With the Aussie dollar sitting at a measly 65 cents, it’s becoming harder to attract those big international acts. Tours by Paul McCartney, Madonna, Neil Diamond, Green Day, and Metallica have all been shelved indefinitely.

“We’ve seen a couple of tours blow out,” said Acer Arena’s Don Elford. “It probably has a lot to do with the dollar.”

Luckily for festival fans, the economic crisis isn’t expected… More »
