Growing up in my family, the rule was always that after we saw Santa Claus at the Thanksgiving Day Parade we were officially allowed to sing Christmas carols. I see no reason why this shouldn’t apply to Xmas-colored clothing as well, so I keep all of my red and green clothes packed up in a box labeled “Do Not Open Until Matt Lauer Says Goodbye.” (Juust kidding, I pretty much only wear black.). To get the season started right, here’s a roundup of celebs rocking red and rocking green.

Kendra Wilkinson is dressing her newborn, Hank Jr., as a leprechaun (we know you were dying to know this). So what are you doing to celebrate this finest of drinking holidays? Yes, Green and Yellow Go Together

Ignore the cute Blair Waldorf shoe slipup for a moment and take notice of a more pressing issue: the much-maligned, oft-misunderstood color combo that is green and yellow.

People hate it. I love it.

Green and yellow go together like peas and carrots, peanut butter and jelly, Chuck and Blair.

Here’s why: It’s preppy collegiate stripes, it’s springtime whimsy, it’s mod ’70s, it’s a bohemian Diane Von Furstenberg print. It’s unexpected, and therefore, not boring. And finally, the colors co-exist within the same palette (yellow + blue = duh).

If you are also a fan of breaking rules regarding supposedly clashing color combos, try these: Black and Brown (Marc Jacob’s favorite pairing) and Pink and Red (for the timid: pair a pink dress with bright red lipstick — it will make you look awesome, not crazy).
