The episode tonight, entitled “Invasion”, continues with the residents of Seattle Grace and Mercy West trying to save their careers as they fight for the limited number of surgeries – and jobs – available as the hospital merger begins. Meanwhile, though Callie is now secured at Seattle Grace, her personal life gets messy. Her father brings in a priest to try to get her to date men… while Arizona looks on.

In the episode, Kathleen Wilhoite guest stars as Leslie, the daughter of a patient. In the scene previewed below, the residents are fighting over who will treat her dad:

It looks like an interesting episode – one where patient care could be compromised by all this bickering!!

In the episode, Riki played Mandy Summers, the assistant to a CIA analyst who is murdered and found in his own car trunk. The analyst and Mandy had been having a secret relationship, which she now thought over. However, there are twists and turns that show that may not be the case and may help the Smithsonian team solve the mystery of this – and another – murder. Check out one of Riki’s scenes about 3 minutes into the clips below:

Todd Lowe guest starred in the episode as NCIS Special Agent Chad Dunham, an operative working in Chad, which gets the obvious quip of “Chad reporting from Chad” at one point in the episode. You can check out Todd’s appearance in this video segment, which comes mid-episode and about 1:45 into the video below:

Melissa McCarthy has joined the cast of new ABC sitcom Hank as a recurring character. The comedy series stars Kelsey Grammer as Hank Pryor, a Wall Street executive who loses his job, and everything he owns, and has to move back to a small-town with his family. Melissa is set to play Dawn, sister-in-law to Hank and wife to “hillbilly” Grady Funk.

Hank will premiere on ABC on Wednesday, September 30th. Though the pilot failed to impress critics early on, word has it that it was re-shot, so hopefully it turns out to be a good series!

Vanessa will play the character of Rebecca Simmons in at least two episodes of Dexter. She’s credited as appearing in at least the first and second episodes of the season, which air on September 27, 2009 and October 4, 2009. Given Dexter now lives in a new neighborhood, perhaps Rebecca is one of the neighbor kids? We’ll have to wait and see!

Kelly Bishop will appear as the widow of a late senator, in town to attend a building-naming ceremony. However, this widow has more to her than what you see on the surface… she’s a cougar (likes younger men)! Since this seems like the kind of role Kelly could really bring to life, I’m really looking forward to seeing the episode!

As previously mentioned, Sherilyn guest starred in the the episode ‘Let’s Get it Ahn’, which follows the story of a counterfeiter who leads the team on a chace after committing murder while in the Witness Protection Program. Sherilyn will play the character of Helen Trask/Traylen, the counterfeiter madly in love with a gorgeous Asian woman, Ahn Li (Kelly Hu). After she spots Ahn committing a crime with her male business partner, Helen rats her out to the FBI and goes into protection. However, her unrequited love causes her to commit murder and, in a childlike delusional state, goes off to prison for her crime.

According to the spoiler, Gregg Henry (Mitchum Huntzberger on Gilmore Girls) has been cast as Quinn Fabray’s (Diana Agron) dad in the new FOX series Glee. I saw the teaser premiere earlier this summer and thought it was a fantastic show. I was a little skeptical about a primetime musical comedy, but it was really quite good!

Glee is set to premiere on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 9/8c. No word yet about when we’ll see Gregg on the series, or in how many episodes he’s likely to appear in. I’ll keep you posted!
