Questionable Choices: Lady Gaga Wears A Hat Made Of Hair

Look, I know it’s redundant to even pretend to be shocked by anything Lady Gaga does at this point, and I’m not saying I’m surprised or offended or anything — just that I find this hat made out of hair really super gross. It causes a physical reaction inside the stomach part of my body that’s making me regret finishing off that bowl of noodles.

I mean, hair is kind of disgusting, right? You’ll send your plate back if it arrives with a strand from the chef’s head, so why wouldn’t this hat — ten thousand times hairier than that pasta — be any different? Plus, the thing just makes her look like a Snooki tribute, which is probably the last thing Gaga wants to project.

LG was snapped in this questionable ensemble outside her London hotel yesterday evening. It also appears she forgot her pants — so maybe the hat was supposed to be a distraction.

Crushable Quoteable: Jason Alexander Explains His New Hair

Jason Alexander has explained the tuft of hair that has grown miraculously atop his head! Turns out it isn’t such a miracle after all. The gist of Jason’s explanation is, it’s a semi-permanent hairpiece that Jason decided to start wearing for professional reasons. Here’s part of what he wrote:

“The way my hair has receded in the last two years was best defined as ‘dorky.’ I started balding at age 17 and after first being sad, I really embraced it. I was always cast older than my actual age which generally meant better roles. And for the most part, the way I was balding always looked kinda good or good enough to my eye and more importantly, to my wife’s eye. But most recently, the look lost any kind of impression other than purely comical. I”m happy to be able to sport that kind of look for characters but I didn’t want it to be the only kind of characters I could be considered for.

Also, there was a practical element — onstage and even to a degree on film, my head had become a big beacon, reflecting light in a very obvious and distracting way.

My wife and I discussed it and came up with 3 options – do nothing and accept it; shave my head (but I thought that might limit my castability even more) or put some hair back.

I thought about grafts or implants but frankly didn’t trust the results would be good enough and also wanted to retain the option of playing truly bald characters. So I began looking for a hair system.

What you see on my head is a really good, semi-permanent hairpiece. By semi-permanent I mean that I can wear it constantly for weeks at a time, if I so choose. I can swim, shower, work out — whatever. It stays on. Or I can take it off any time of any day I choose. The reason it looks thin is that I challenged my designer to make me a piece that would look very similar to the way I did 10 years ago. So, it looks like a guy who is losing his hair and isn’t an artificial mop of hair that I never had. The designer was dubious at first but he actually loves the look now. And the fact is that we are still playing around with the shape and density to make it as flattering and natural looking as we can.”

Sounds reasonable. And an awful lot like a Seinfeld episode.

Jason Alexander Has Defied Science, Grown New Hair

Someone has been watering their Jason Alexander Chia Pet and it has sprouted a miraculous new bunch of hair. TMZ noticed that Jason seems to have coaxed his hairline into returning, as evidenced by this side-by-side of images taken just months apart.

Is the new ‘do for a movie role? Jason’s currently contributing the voice to an animated flick called Delhi Safari, so that seems unlikely — unless, of course, he needed the hair to get into character. Perhaps it’s just some gold old fashioned vanity, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Jason, we think your hair looks lovely.

Oh my – Lea Michele has broken up with her boyfriend, Broadway actor Theo Stockman, aka DJ Theocracy. (Seriously, that’s his DJ name – we assume that means he only plays one type of music?) Evidently there was no big blowout between the pair, who dated for over a year, and their publicists are giving the standard “relationship ran its course/they’re still friends” line. Let’s take a look back at the romance between these two thespians, shall we?

Snooki Got A New Tattoo… Is It Of Her Hair?

New Jersey meatball Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi spent her Saturday at the tattoo parlor and left with some shiny new ink across her shoulder.

The tat appears to show a golden crown set atop a bright pink bow, but from a distance (or, up close, blurry-eyed from tequila shots, which is how many people probably experience Snooki) it looks ever so similar to the Jersey Shore star’s own bouffant hairdo. Maybe Snooki just thinks in big, overblown poofs? Or perhaps her hair itself is supposed to represent a crown. Queen Snooki, Lady of the Pizzeria.

The tat, which Snooks claims is her favorite, joins the words “La Familia” which are scrawled across her back. Check out another photo of Nicole’s new design, plus some fancy nail action:

Y’all, It Looks Like Rihanna Finally Ditched the Red Hair

Big news in Rihanna‘s-hair-color-enthusiast circles: the songstress seems to be done with the fiery red that has characterized her pretty head for so many months. Photos snapped of the singer vacationing in San Tropez seem to indicate that she’s letting the color fade back to its original brown with a detour through a rusty orange. I’m like a scientist over here!

Rihanna has been working with red locks since June of 2010, and the look has stuck with her through long and short, curly and straight. Here’s another recent photo:
