Daniel Radcliffe To Star In 'The Woman In Black'

Daniel Radcliffe is saying goodbye to Harry Potter … with a role in another supernatural saga. Daniel will portray a young lawyer who is forced to work in a town held hostage by the ghost of a murderous, scorned woman, Crushable has learned,

The project, adapted from the popular Susan Hill novel of the same name and produced by Hammer Films, will be directed by James Watkins and written by Jane Goldman, who brought the violent superhero-themed Kick-Ass to the big screen.

In the meantime, Daniel will return to Broadway this spring in How To Succeed In Business (Without Really Trying), and to Harry Potter this fall in the new film installment, The Deathly Hallows.

We know he can act – but can he make us forget Harry Potter? Jury’s up on that one.

Rupert Grint Ain't Getting Love From Martin Scorcese

Who the hell knows where this rumor started, but this was definitively the best headline of yesterday (from The Guardian): “Martin Scorsese denies predicting great things for Rupert Grint.” The Sun last week reported that the famed director had compared the Harry Potter star to “a young Leonardo Dicaprio.” Which is pretty funny, because Rupert’s not even that young, and Leo isn’t that old. Either way, Rupert was ecstatic with joy, because being compared to someone with the world’s worst fake Boston accent is the highest compliment a young (not that young) movie star can be given.

Except Martin wants to emphatically respond that he never made such comments: “With respect to the Harry Potter films, regrettably I’ve never seen them and therefore I’m not able to discuss them or the performances in them in any way.” Damn, did you really have to go smash all of Rupert’s dreams, Martin? Couldn’t you have just left it alone? That’s it, we’re boycotting the DVD release of Shutter Island.

Whoa. The first full length trailer for the final installment of the Harry Potter series is here, and it just blew our minds.

If this edge-of-your-seat trailer is any indication, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which will be presented in two parts, might actually live up to the expectations of Harry Potter fans around the world. Harry — looking sufficiently well worn but also younger than Daniel Radcliffe’s 20 years, duels with Voldemort, kisses Ginny Weasley and faces the challenges handed to him head on. It’s sufficiently dark and filled with tension and action and battle. And even better? It’s going to be in 3D. So cool.

The first half of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows may not hit theaters until November, but you’ll be able to catch a sneak peek much sooner than that.

Warner Brothers Pictures is debuting the film’s first theatrical trailer on Monday, and you can watch it in its entirety during the premiere episode of Huge, starring Nikki Blonsky on ABC Family at 9 p.m. ET. The channel will also be airing the first five Harry Potter films July 8 through July 11, and will be featuring exclusive cast interviews and behind the scenes footage from Deathly Hallows in between.

Next season on Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf is going to get a run for her money. The show has brought on young French actress Clemence Poesy to play Chuck’s Parisian flight for multiple episodes.

Clemence, who is best known for playing Fleur Delacour in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, also plays a part in the both parts of the last Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Her Gossip Girl character is described as “a warm-hearted bombshell,” which actually sounds like the complete opposite of Blair. Can Chuck be turning over a new leaf?
