All of the shorts have a theme of personal responsibility and answer the question “What does personal responsibility mean to you?” Milo’s video features his Heroes co-star Masi Oka, who plays a man “who’s kindness goes un-rewarded until the end.”

We’re currently 4 episodes into the season and not much has happened. We’re still playing catch-up, it seems, with what all the characters (both old and new) are trying to achieve with their lives. Sometimes it’s boring (like with Claire – seriously seriously boring) and sometimes it’s repetitive (like with Hiro, played by Masi Oka who had a single guest-star appearance on Gilmore Girls ). But I can’t say there’s a single story-line I actually like right now. That’s not a good thing. Sure, I feel really sorry for Hiro. And everyone is struggling. But it feels so slow to me – what do you think?

The only thing that really captured my interest was the cliffhanger at the end of Monday’s episode, “Acceptance”, but at the same time… really? Isn’t that just re-using the same old plot line again?

What’s your assessment of Heroes so far this season? Are you going to continue to watch it?

The second episode, “Jump, Push, Fall”, debuts a new carnival clan whose intentions are unknown but seem to be focused towards our familiar Heroes. Meanwhile, our favorite characters, including Peter Petrelli (Milo), try to adjust to new stages in their lives. For Peter, this includes doing “good” by helping as a paramedic.

Meanwhile, I also have some new photos of Masi Oka, who plays Hiro in Heroes and guest starred on Gilmore Girls. His character is continuing his quest with Ando to help people by promoting their abilities.

“Heroes” Season 4 (Volume 5) Trailer

As you can see in the new trailer, it looks to be a dramatic season premiere with each character trying to find his or her own redemption.

Milo gives us his insight on his character, Peter Petrelli, as a “kid with a golden heart with his head in the clouds” who has all these powers. After being attacked over and over, and betrayed by family, Milo says that Peter came out of Season 4 as a better person. Milo says that the new Peter has more of a sense of humor, and with some joy in life. He takes joy, for example, in helping others again as a paramedic. Check out the rest above!

During the Heroes panel at Comic-Con, it was shown that Milo’s character, Peter Petrelli, would be making attempts at a normal life in the upcoming season…. though that doesn’t always work out.

“He’s seen it all. He’s got a lot more humor about it. Nothing’s new to him. If someone comes to him swinging, he’s going to swing back harder.” To illustate this, fans were shown another clip, this time of Peter and Ray Park’s character having a really cool knife fight.

It’s a great interview, so I encourage you to read it in full. Some highlights include:

• Milo thinks Heroes has a great chance of regaining the spirit of Season 1 again. "Already 3 episodes into the 4th season, I can tell you that it feels like the first season."
• Milo talks about how graphic the violence is on Berkserker, including group meetings about just which body parts could be "used as clubs if torn free." Lovely thought.
• Shares his thoughts on some past movies, as well as upcoming appearances in Gamer, Armored, and Order of Chaos.
• And lastly, answers the question, "Who would win in a fight? Peter Petrelli or Jason Voorhees?" His answer is quite funny.

In addition, you can pre-order Samantha Who?: The Complete Second Season (starring Melissa McCarthy), which (unless the petition is successful) is the last season of the show. The DVD will *probably* contain the un-aired final episodes. Cancelled early in 2008 and also available on DVD are My Own Worst Enemy: The Complete Series (starring Mädchen Amick) and Trust Me (starring Vanessa Marano). And for those David Sutcliffe fans, don’t forget Private Practice: The Complete Second Season .

Gilmore Girls stars made SO many guest appearances on tv in the past year that I can’t name all the DVDs. But you’re sure to find the talented cast appearing in lots of your favorite shows!

Granted, Season 1 had a “cool” appeal that the show can’t really re-attain, but I think Heroes has found its voice again. The series is back to the characters and to their complex motivations for wanting to be “good”, and how that plays out in complex ways. All of the actors have really taken their characters to the next level – Milo shows us that Peter has the strength to face up to his enemies, but also his family. Christine shows us the pain her character, Angela, has lived with her whole life. And Masi shows us that Hiro must face being a hero, true to his ideals, while it may end up costing him his life.

Heroes Volume 5: Redemption, will return next Fall. But until then, what did you think of the season? Is it ‘back’ for you? Or, like the folks at EW, are you still left wanting more?
