Hilary Duff in talks with RCA?
There is a rumor that Hilary Duff may be in talks with RCA records, vs staying independent as a musician as she’s previously stated in interviews.
Hilary admitted recently that she’s starting to work with a few producers, one of whom may be J.Y.Park. If Hilary is indeed in talks with RCA, who manage artists such as Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera, we’ll probably know soon. For now, this is just a rumor.

Hilary Duff Records Single for “What Goes Up”
It’s just been announced that Hilary Duff has recorded an original song for her movie, What Goes Up (originally Safety Glass).
What Goes Up is the first film from executive producer James Hoke, who talks here about the challenges and rewards of making the film. James shares:

“Fly” to be on “Ghost Whisperer”
Hilary Duff’s single “Fly” will be featured during her upcoming guest appearance this Friday on Ghost Whisperer on CBS for the episode “Thrilled to Death.”
“Fly” is a track that Hilary Duff recorded for her 2004 album, Hilary Duff. The single was co-written by Kara DioGuardi and John Shanks, and is also included in Hilary Duff’s latest ‘Best Of’ album. Here’s the music video for “Fly”:

New Versions of “Reach Out”
A karaoke site in Germany recently released two new versions of “Reach Out”, Hilary Duff’s latest single from her ‘Best Of’ album. The versions include one Karaoke version and one Instrumental version!! I’m not sure if either version is “official”, but they’re great!!

From what I can dig up, the UK CD contained a second track of ‘Reach Out’, this time a “demo” track that features Hilary Duff’s real voice, prior to filtering and remastering. ‘Reach Out’ #1 in Italy
Hilary Duff’s latest single, ‘Reach Out’, has topped the charts in Italy!! MTV.it Italy lists ‘Reach Out’ as the #1 single on the Top 10 Chart – above ‘Circus’ by Britney Spears and ‘When You Look Me In My Eyes’ by Jonas Brothers.
You can keep voting here to keep ‘Reach Out’ topping the charts! Although the single is no longer charting in the US, it’s still great to see it getting recognized out there!

Cracked.com listed Hilary Duff in their “20 Worst Cover Songs in Pop Music History” for her cover of ‘My Generation’. She’s in the #15 spot, and call her essentially a “glorified Mouseketeer” rather than a musician (those are really nasty words!).

Young musician Bianca Gisselle posted a cover of Hilary Duff’s new song, ‘Holiday’, to YouTube. It’s a really fantastic cover of Hilary’s song, so I wanted to share it with you. Bianca has a very beautiful and easy-to-listen-to voice and does a great job making this an acoustic tune:

Depeche Mode Talk About Hilary
In Hilary Duff’s latest single, ‘Reach Out’, from her ‘Best Of’ Album, she samples from Depeche Mode’s ‘Personal Jesus’. Depeche Mode is currently coming up with a new album, and in an interview recently talked about Hilary’s use of their track. Frontman Dave Gahan had this to say:

Alternate “Reach Out” Music Video
A third version of Hilary Duff’s “Reach Out” music video (original version | tv censored version) has been found! This video, edited by Barney Miller, features more of the choking scenes with also a bunch more artistic shots that didn’t make it into the final cut for the music video. I like it!
Also, according to E-Talk (via) Hilary Duff will be spending Thanksgiving with her mom (Mike Comrie has a game the next day) somewhere “stress-free”. … More »
Hilary Duff’s “Best Of” Selling Poorly
Hilary Duff’s second greatest hits album, which came out on November 11th, Best of, has sold only 5,500 copies during its first week in stores. These sales earning the CD slot #125 on the chart, based on Nielsen SoundScan data. This is much further down the chart than other new albums, including David Archuleta’s self-titled album, which came in at #2.
