How hot is Alexander Skarsgard in this vampy-themed photo shoot for Interview Magazine? And it gets even swoonier: in his interview with Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler, Alexander talked about owning his first-ever pair of cowboy boots as an eight-year-old kid:

“I spent two months in Fredericksburg, Texas, when I was 8, while my father shot a movie, and I loved it. I just embraced the whole cowboy culture. I got myself a pair of awesome boots and a cowboy hat. Then I got back to Sweden in September to go back to school, and I was so proud of my cowboy boots. I told my mom and my dad, ‘I’m going to wear these bad boys to school today, and all the kids are going to love me. I’m going to be the coolest kid in school.’ Then I showed up and everyone was like, ‘Dude, why are you wearing ladies’ boots?’ They didn’t really work in Sweden. I wore them that one day, and then I ran home and cried and never wore those boots again.”

Aw, dude, put them back on! We won’t judge, promise.

‘Interview’ Throws Party For James Franco’s ‘Book’

Last night at the James hotel, Interview Magazine and James Franco — two of the most overexposed entities in “culture” — joined together to promote Palo Alto, the collection of short stories by James that he wrote while earning one of his 1,000 degrees. You remember, it’s the book with the story they published in Esquire, that had the line “the shadows make it shadow-color“? Yikers. Even having the party at a place called the James now seems like some sort of weird, inside joke that even Franco’s other personalities aren’t finding funny any more. What was the scene like? Our insider had the scoop:

He chatted with strangers and media people wanting to meet him, doing the thing where he asked a bunch of questions to the other person ostensibly as a method to distract said other person from asking him person questions. Based on my conversations with random media peeps who talked to him, I gathered he was curious, amiable and would nicely ask, “Are you going to write something mean about me?” to outlets he didn’t trust.

Also he apparently “liked” the New York magazine article written about him, which, based on reading the article, remains consistent to James method of avoiding direct contact with journalists at parties, leaving writers to pick up gossip about the 27 Hours actor’s life from his assistants and random peoples’ Tumblr.

We tend to think that Naomi Campbell as the phone-throwing, frightful diva whose behavior towards her assistants has warranted her more jail time than Lindsay Lohan. But Interview magazine revealed in this month’s issue that the model is actually doing public service every day, deep in the bowels on New York’s sewer system where she systematically hunts down and destroys those bat-people from The Descent. True story!

Exclusive: ‘Jersey Shore’s’ Vinny Responds To ‘Village Voice’ Cover

Despite reports to the contrary, Vinny Guadagnino, one of the outspoken Guido stars of Jersey Shore, tells Crushable that he doesn’t mind that his shirtless bod is gracing the cover of the Village Voice‘s Queer Issue.

“I do like four photoshoots a week, and every one of them is the same exact thing,” Vinny told us. “You do your make-up, then you take pictures, you get dressed, you take more pictures. Usually we take our shirts off, take more pictures. Whenever they send the photos, they send them. I leave it up to MTV’s best judgment to send it somewhere where it won’t be too outrageous. But I don’t think the Village Voice Queer Issue is that big of a deal. Whatever. I just take the pictures, I trust MTV to send them wherever.”

Asked which of these many photoshoots have been his favorite, Vinny found it hard to pick favorites. “Every magazine we do I think that is pretty cool,” the 22-year-old Staten Island guy told Crushable. “Like we’ve done Interview magazine, those shots ended up looking really awesome with Bar Refaeli and Terry Richardson. They looked awesome. Even these pictures, they look good, you know? So what am I going to say? I’m not looking at the morality behind it. Look at the pictures.”

And as for working with Terry Richardson, who has gotten a reputation for being creepy, Vinny said, “He’s amazing. He’s badass…If you call him a sleaze, he’ll probably be like, ‘Thank you very much.’”

June’s edition of Interview magazine features a Madonna-throwback on the cover: a hot blond over-layed with an image of a bloody cross. Is it Christina Aguilera or Lady Gaga? No, wait…it’s actually Madonna. And a pretty sexy version too, considering that some are speculating that the dimples made by her fishnets in one photo prove Madge has gone the route of Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, and Adrianne Curry and ditched the airbrushing. Whether or not it’s true, it’s amazing how good you can look with plain, old-fashioned magazine magic: Who needs Photoshop when you have a team of hair, makeup lightening, and costume designers whose sole purpose is to make you look gorgeous?

Lindsay Lohan is the cover feature for the February 2009 edition of Interview Magazine. The feature includes a sultry & sexy photoshoot with the glamorous Lindsay Lohan as well as an interview!

In the very candid interview, Lindsay Lohan talks about what it’s like to live in the “fish bowl” that is Hollywood. Lindsay mentions how she’d like to give back, to do things that make her feel fulfilled, but hates that people assume it’s a press stunt. She’s annoyed not to have time to herself:

“There are things I want to do, and people don’t understand that. You know, my car accident that I got into, where I got my first charge, I wouldn’t have been speeding up like I was if I didn’t have people shoving cameras in my windows.”

Lindsay blames her accident on the paparazzi! And I really hope that legislation passes that gives police some enforcement to keep them further away – there’s no reason they should invade so much of her personal space. Lindsay says that the paparazzi are always “instigating and antagonizing you” in order to get pictures that will pay off.

Lindsay then goes on about how she got into her career and the misplaced assumptions that she wanted to be a “celebrity”, ending up turning her into a caricature of herself.

“In terms of what people see of me, I have become this girl who just loves to be photographed, doesn’t know how to focus, doesn’t know how to work on set, just loves the attention, knows how to go out at night, knows how to party. And you know what? I was 20 years old. I never went to college. And I lived maybe six months out of my life like that, doing something wrong, and then I stopped. God forbid I should have ever learned my lesson. But at this point it’s so hard for people to even believe that there was a lesson to be learned at all, because they just think I’m wrong. All these people think I’m never going to be right, because it’s more interesting to fabricate this other girl. Who wants to read a tabloid story about a girl who is doing well?”

What did Lindsay want to be?

“I wanted to be a movie star. But movie stars are not what they used to be.”

Lindsay goes on to talk about the “great ones” in film, and the lack of those being made in Hollywood these days. She then talks about Marilyn Monroe and the respect she got for her daring re-interpration of the Marilyn Monroe photoshoot.

Lindsay mentions that she just got a new script from Charles Shyer, who co-wrote her first film, The Parent Trap. Despite this good news, Lindsay seems worried that the misconception of herself by people – in the industry, the media and fans – is hurting her ability to pursue acting.

“But what hurts me the most is that I work just as hard as any other actress around my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don’t get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess that I created in my life. But that doesn’t mean it’s going to last forever.”
