As you may know by now, hundreds of Occupy Wall Street protestors were emptied out of Zucotti Park last night by an army of police officers in riot gear. This is certainly interesting from a political point of view; the imminent court decision on whether or not King Bloomberg acted unconstitutionally could have wide-ranging implications. Video: Never Date a Jazz Boyfriend
I clicked on this video because in college I did date a guy who was majoring in jazz (best word in hangman, btw!) at our music conservatory, and it did blow. But even weirder? It turns out that the group performing this song, Mindtroll, is doing so at the very same bar I used to work at: Goodbye Blue Monday in Bushwick (which is in Brooklyn, which is part of New York, blah blah blah). To celebrate the debut of her album, Nikki, 16-year-old Canadian singing sensation Nikki Yanofsky performed at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola in New York City last night. Crushable witnessed Nikki perform in sequined black drawstring shorts, a 3/4-length sleeved blazer and black high top Converse with sequined embellishment on the heels.

Nancy Wilson Cancels Aussie Tour

Jazz great Nancy Wilson has cancelled her appearance at the upcoming Melbourne Jazz 2008 concert.
Nancy was hospitalised last week with a collapsed lung. Initially only her immediate commitments were cancelled, but her management has now decided it’s better to be safe than sorry.
