As many of you know, the infamous JellyNYC summer Pool Parties were yet again in danger of not happening. The new video for Islands’ song “No You Don’t” is pretty awesome. It features Michael Cera (of Superbad and the upcoming Youth in Revolt) doing drugs. It’s pretty weird and trippy and hilarious. You can see it here (along with a video of Cera hanging out with the Jersey Shore dudes…yes!)

The Breeders finally came on around 5:30 p.m. and were great as well. They played a great mix of old and new, getting to some of my old favorites like “I Just Wanna Get Along” and “No Aloha.” Definitely… More »
I’m not sure how the Brooklyn Masonic Temple has turned into the new hot venue, but artists as diverse as Beirut and Mastodon have played there in the last few months. There are four upcoming shows, each of which promise to be very entertaining.
