Just in time for Independence Day, Parade Magazine is suggesting that we switch out “The Star-Spangled Banner” with “America the Beautiful” for our country’s anthem, because of all the idiots who keep messing it up.
Maybe it’s the “intricate” lyrics about a naval battle; maybe it’s the pressure linked to the honor of belting out the anthem at baseball, hockey, and football games; or maybe you can actually cross-reference “getting chosen to sing” with “lacking brain cells.” Regardless, if you’re horrified at possibly losing Francis Scott Key‘s lyrics, you can thank these guys. Jennifer Hudson Opens Up About Family Murders On ‘Behind The Music’
In the two years since the brutal murder of her mother, brother and nephew by her brother-in-law, Jennifer Hudson has remained mum about the horrific event. But on her Behind the Music doc last night, she spoke about what she went through, and how she got through it.
