American Idol winner Jordin Sparks was on TV this morning promoting In the Heights, the Tony Award-winning musical that she’ll be debuting in tonight on Broadway. Jordin will be playing Nina Rosario, who is definitely a main character (sorry, In the Heights, I don’t know very much about you!) and proved that she’s gone to enough rehearsals by belting out Breathe on Regis and Kelly today.

Elise Abdalla has spent the last couple years following around Disney tweens as they’ve aged into ripe teen maturity, dutifully taping concerts all over the world for stars like the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, and Jordin Sparks. And guess what guys? All those famous people? They are just like us!

“At the end of the day, they are just normal families,” Elise tells PopEater*, because truly, haven’t we all had our parents call up our girlfriends and break up with them for us right before the world-wide international tour we’d be going on together? Totally, totally normal stuff right there.

*(Oh and bee tee dubbs, the videographer was just hired to work on an AOL-owned celebrity site that will focus exclusively on these stars, but in no way influences what she says about them…)

No, Jordin Sparks Isn’t In ‘The Real L-Word’

I don’t know why, but Facebook is convinced I’m a lesbian. All I get is advertisements for girl-meets-girl dating sites, wife-beaters, and promos for the new Showtime reality program, The Real L-Word.

Yes, it seems totally shameless (and brings to mind the original tag-line for Laguna Beach, which was called “The Real O.C.”). BUT! The show’s producer is the same woman who was behind the original L-Word series, so we guess that makes it less off-putting to parade lipstick lesbians around as the new Real Housewives?

Either way, one of the women in the show, Rose, is such a dead-ringer for American Idol‘s Jordin Sparks that we thought for a hot sec that this was her next career move. In which case, we’d totally watch the show (not that we weren’t already programming our TiVos for the June 20th premiere anyway).
