El Guincho went on late but as soon as his salsa infused electro beats came on and I heard his sweet voice I was happy…. More »

Swedish-by-way-of-Argentina singer/guitarist extraordinaire Jose Gonzalez graced New York with his presence last night at Webster Hall. The packed venue was filled with the brilliant songwriter’s fans who listened attentively as he played such favorites as “Crosses,” “Down the Line,” and of course his unique version of The Knife’s “Heartbeats.” With a mix of old and new songs (from recent release In Our Nature), Gonzalez played a short but gorgeous set that showcased his excellent guitar skills and beautiful voice.
