The Wizard of Oz is being re-released on DVD today (Tuesday, September 29) in honor of its 70th anniversary and to celebrate they are having a screening in Central Park with lots of special musical guests: ?uestlove (of The Roots), Jennifer Hudson, Julianne Hough, Bilal, “and a band assembled especially for the show” will be performing contemporary interpretations of classic songs from the film. It starts at 7:30 pm tonight at Rumsey Playfield. Oh, and did I mention it’s free?
