Anderson’s gym, located in Manhattan’s tony Tribeca ‘hood, opened last year to lots of buzz — and a $900-a-month membership fee.

The source says Anderson is “taking 200 members max, so it’s possible they’re already filled to capacity and not signing up new members.”

Those members include: Paltrow, Christy Turlington, Edie Falco, Beyonce, Kate Hudson, Chelsea Clinton and Kelly Ripa.

“If people are paying $900 a month for a gym, they are going to expect some pretty personalized instruction,” says the source.  “And the gym is a small space. … I’m sure they don’t want too many of the unwashed masses crowding Gwyneth when she’s working out,” says the source.

Anderson became famous in the workout world for training Madonna and Paltrow, the latter after she had her second child.

She is currently building her empire with gyms in New York and L.A., in addition to DVDS and an upcoming book. She also plans to open a gym in the Hamptons, the source says.

I have to say the interest in this movie, at least on my side, was overshadowed by the film’s unwanted publicity of Jessica Alba’s little “adventure” in Oklahoma.   Currently, the “Fantastic Four” starlet has already finished filming her part in the movie and will be playing a prostitute (Joyce Lakeland) in this re-make of the 1976 version.  I think we’ll definitely be seeing a more sultry and grittier side to Jessica Alba in this film, compare to anything we have seen of her on the big screen.  Which, I’m sure we Alba fans can’t wait to see!

What we know of the film?

The movie is an independent film directed by Michael Winterbottom, based on a crime story novel  in the 1950s written by Jim Thompson.  The story follows a seemingly dull, small-town deputy sheriff that has suppressed his long-time homicidal urges that he had since childhood, but has suddenly resurfaced beyond his control (Uh, oh… if Jessica is already done filming her part in the movie and it’s currently still being filmed, does that mean.. no..gasp..not Jessica?!?).

Jessica Alba’s co-stars are Casey Affleck (who plays the disturbed deputy sheriff) , and Kate Hudson (the sheriff’s school teacher girlfriend).  Also starring in the movie are Bill Pullman, Simon Baker, and Elias Koteas in this crime thriller.  The film is expected to be released in 2010.

Jessica Alba will leave sunny LA for the vast plains of Oklahoma where they will film The Killer Inside Me, a psychological thriller based on the book by Jim Thompson. The movie also stars Kate Hudson, Casey Affleck and Bill Pullman.

The film revolves around Affleck’s character, Lou Ford, a rural deputy sherriff, a likable, easy going, relatively unremarkable man who hides his true existence as a murderous sociopath. Jessica will play Joyce Lakeland, a prostitute who falls in love with Ford.

Filming for The Killer Inside Me begins March 23.
