I’ve been going through this thing lately where I can’t stop thinking about buying a pair of leather pants. Here’s why: I assume that if I own leather pants, I’ll automatically be super good at pool. And I really, really want to be super good at pool. But I am not, hence the leather pants. I’ve gotten nothing but encouragement every time I say, “I think I’d like to get some leather pants,” but I suspect my friends might be screwing with me. So, when in doubt, I look to the celebs for guidance. Rihanna, Kate and Kate: I bet you guys are so effing good at pool.

Supermodel Kate Moss and longtime boyfriend Jamie Hince finally tied the knot today at Kate’s estate in the English countryside. John Galliano, the former Dior designer who is currently on trial in France for making anti-Semitic comments, designed the gown especially for Kate. I’m loving the champagne color (not everyone has to stick with white!) and the gold glitter at the bottom. And Jamie looks pretty damn fly, too.

We kind of can’t believe we haven’t featured Kate Moss in a Style Crush yet, but the day after the supermodel announced that she intends to design her own wedding dress seems as good a time as any. If you live anywhere near the Northeast, you know this weather straight up blows. While my mind is already gearing up for fall 2011, we are still months away from the spring/summer shorts wearing season–without tights, that is. I’ve personally never been too keen on the trend, but Keira Knightley and Kate Moss may be swaying me to become a year-round shorts kind of gal.

Awesomely, neither of the two looks like she is going clubbing (which for some reason I associate with shorts in the winter). In fact, I love both of their outfits. So, my lesson learned is to keep the shorts trouser-like and mid-thigh and to pair them with a distressed leather belt and black opaque tights. What are your thoughts? Do you wear shorts off-season? When we spotted Winona Ryder in a menswear-inspired suit on last night’s Black Swan carpet we instantly thought of Leighton Meester‘s Charlie Chaplin-esque look from Monday’s IFP awards. Then this morning when we saw photos of Halle Berry in a gold suit at the Frankie & Alice premiere we decided that the blazer-and-pants look is officially a trend. This week in London, Kate Moss launched her final collection for Topshop–and she did so in an outfit that will not soon be forgotten.

My Weird Celebrity Crush: Worshiping at the Alter of Ablisa (The Worst ‘X-Factor’ Contestants Ever)

(Editor’s Note: In case you missed it, The X Factor saw an amazing boxing match break out between two young Brits — Abbey Johnston and Lisa Parker — during a recent episode. They later made up. Jessica Poolt‘s obsession with the duo has led her to dub them “Ablisa.”)

How do I love thee, Ablisa? Let me count the ways…
1. Etymology
Abbey + Lisa = Ablisa. There’s a 100% possibility this is the first name that occurred to our fiery Anglo-Saxon Goddesses and they’re sticking to it. Despite the fact that they could have chose just about any name under the sun, we must admire their determination to operate under the laziest moniker of all time.

2. The Diptych Effect
“…And twinsss.” True soul sisters cosmically bound by their “I don’t give a f*#%!” attitude, Abbey and Lisa form two complimentary halves of the living, breathing human diptych of trash known as Ablisa. It’s excruciatingly apt that these two would be united in their comic quest to offend Natalie Imbruglia.

3. Renaissance of the Chav
Ablisa dares us, as Americans, to question everything we thought we knew about British culture (via stereotypes). Any associations we may have clung to regarding the Brits as either sophisticated, tea swilling literati or Kate Moss style, mod squad Londoners dissolved the moment Abbey’s left hook connected with Lisa’s sweet, crumpet filled cheeks.

The mere existence of Ablisa seems like an elaborate joke from the heavens and, therefore, must be capitalized on and exploited for lots and lots of money. If these cherub faced muses don’t manage to hustle a reality show out of this magnificent, Simon Cowell sanctioned display of fame-seeking crassness, I will lose all faith in humanity.
