Lots of good stuff on sale today, including all of the shows for Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series, which will host Marianne Faithfull, St. Vincent, Dirty Projectors, and many others. Good Old War and Cast Spells (solo project of Dave Davison of Maps & Atlases), are releasing a split EP on Sargeant Records for their December tour and their show at the Knitting Factory is definitely one to see.

Joe's Pub Celebrates 40 Years

The lovely Joe’s Pub has been with us for 40 years now and to celebrate they’re having a whole slew of awesome performances from September to December. Things start of with Carl Hancock Rux, who played the first ever show at Joe’s Pub. He’ll be back on September 1 to celebrate and perform sections of his new cabaret opera, Backamoor Angel.

Dean & Britta (ex-Luna members) are releasing a digital remix EP called Variations on January 29. The EP features a selection of tracks from last year’s divine Back Numbers, along with the new song, “Song of You.” The songs are remixed by producer Tony Visconti, My Robot Friend, Sonic Boom, and Britta herself, along with others.

Actual copies of the EP will be available on their tour with Keren Ann, hitting Music Hall of Williamsburg on February 29 and Bowery Ballroom… More »
