Well, it was bound to happen!
Universal Orlando has changed its ticketing structure to get ready for the mass influx of visitors expected this spring for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Here’s a few of the changes:
Under the new structure, which Universal dubbed “U Select,” the base price for a one-day, one-park ticket remains unchanged at $79.
But the per-day price drops for some longer stays. A three-day ticket, for instance, will cost $125 when purchased online — or roughly $42… More »
In an interview over at Monsters and Critics, Daniel Radcliffe talks about how difficult it has been to film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:
‘It is the hardest film to do, absolutely. I’m not sure anyone would disagree with me on that one.
‘But as long as you equal that kind of toughness with your enthusiasm, then it sort of goes away.
‘When the seventh book came out, David Heyman finished it a couple of days before I did.
‘He rang me… More »

Here’s a promo for that episode, it includes a snippet of Dan talking about how much he loves the Simpsons (of course!). Watch:

Snow is falling on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and shenanigans are happenin’!
Warwick Davis threw a couple snowballs at David Bradley (Filch).
Chris Rankin said the cast was actually sent home because of the snow.
Tom Felton decided to sit in the snow and play a little guitar.
Oliver Phelps posted a pic of the snow outside his window:

There are quite a few Harry Potter-affiliated celebrities on Twitter, and I’m going to try compiling their relevant HP Tweets into one convenient post for yalls, hopefully at least a couple times a week. They don’t always talk about HP relevant topics (the Phelps twins REALLY like to talk about football!), but I’ll get what I can!
Warwick Davis reports that both parts (of Deathly Hallows) are being shot simultaneously and that they have about six months to go (this was… More »
There’s a hilarious little list called 150 things I can’t do at Hogwarts that I just found; here are a few of my favorites (note: some of these are DEFINITELY not for kids):
1. I will not poke Hufflepuffs with spoons, nor will I insist that their House colors indicated that they are covered with bees.
2. No matter how good a fake Australian accent I can do, I will not imitate Steven Irwin during Care of Magical Creatures class.
3. Growing marijuana… More »

Here’s Tom Felton taking a well-deserved holiday in Miami with girlfriend Jade. Hope he’s wearing a lot of sunscreen!
Recently Tom gave a funny quote regarding co-star Evanna Lynch and the fact that many people perceive her to be much younger than she actually is:
‘I remember that interview you did where that lady thought you were 13,’ says. ‘Then she tried to blag it was a compliment.’
In addition to his work on Deathly Hallows right now, Tom is also in… More »

USA Today has released their list of what they believe to be the best books of the past decade, with the Harry Potter books being extremely prominent. I’m not sure how they compiled this list, I’m guessing by sales, crossover projects, and movie releases, which unfortunately bumps out a few more deserving books that should have been on this list (other than HP, of course!). Here’s the entire thing:
1. Twilight, Stephenie Meyer
2. The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown
3. Harry Potter… More »
Well! I hope you all had a very, very happy Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Saturnalia, or whatever it was that you were celebrating! I still have like fifty pounds of Christmas cookies and candy left over, how about you?
Today we’ve gotten news that a new sign has appeared at the entrance of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: PLEASE RESPECT THE SPELL LIMITS. I’m guessing it’s a play on words for “please respect the SPEED limits”, maybe?
You can see photos of… More »
