Brooklyn Knitting Factory Opening, Les Savy Fav Playing

The Knitting Factory had been a fixture of downtown New York for decades until it closed last year. After much delay, it is finally reopening in Brooklyn, at 361 Metropolitan Ave. in Williamsburg to be exact.
To celebrate their grand opening tomorrow (Wednesday September 9), Les Savy Fav will be playing. It’s all sold out (probably to industry insiders), but the bar will still be open to the public.

Knitting Factory Adds New Shows ?!?
So, you thought you saw the last show at the Knitting Factory in Manhattan on New Year’s Eve with Akron/Family, Deerhoof, and Dirty Projectors? Not so fast. The club on Leonard Street has added some more shows:

Quasi Curates Show at the Knit
Quasi (ex-Sleater Kinney) is curating a show at the Knitting Factory tomorrow (Saturday) night which looks pretty great. It’s a full club event with Quasi, Sic Alps, Marnie Stern, Crystal Stilts, Soft Circle, and Jeff Lewis. Tickets here. The Antlers Playing Tonight, Next Week
Ambient music experts The Antlers, which is mostly Peter Silberman, will be playing a show tonight at the Knitting Factory with The Lisps and Spanish Prisoners. Then, next Friday, February 8, they will be at Pianos with Bridges and Powerlines and Square Wave Punch.
Additionally, it seems they will be playing a 3-week residency at Club Midway in April.
