Before Daniel Radcliffe stepped onstage for Live with Regis and Kelly this morning, the hosts showed a clip of his first appearance in 2001, where he was an adorable pipsqueak shaking his head in disbelief that he’d just seen The Producers. Ten years later, he’s had two successful Broadway appearances in Equus and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying – and it’s fitting that they showed that clip, since he revealed that the souvenir he nabbed from the set was two pairs of Harry’s signature glasses. In the weeks since he was fired as host of The Tonight Show, Conan O’Brien has been getting into Twitter, planning a tour and is reportedly in talks to work on a documentary project. He’s also been spotted looking a bit Amish. Apparently, shaving is not on his list of things to do now that he’s off the air.
Meanwhile, Conan’s former sidekick Andy Richter has been keeping busy by guest hosting Live! with Regis and Kelly last week, where he… More »
Today (January 18, 2010), Carrie Underwood performed on Live With Regis and Kelly. Naturally it was a re-run due to the holiday, and I’m glad they chose to show Carrie. Regis referred to her as the “American Idol turned music superstar” and that’s no lie. There have been many post-Idol successes over the years but Carrie just shot straight to the top and the number of album sales and awards she’s won is astounding.
Carrie performed “All American Girl” and I… More »
On January 6, 2010 Katharine McPhee dropped by Live With Regis and Kelly to promote her new album “Unbroken”. After chatting it up with Regis and Kelly, Katharine hit the stage with “Had It All”.
I think she did such a great job and she sounded wonderful. I love watching Regis and Kelly (mostly for Kelly Ripa, one of my favorite people on television) but that being said I find that a lot of times people sound terrible when… More »
Most recently eliminated American Idol finalists, Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds, were on Live! With Regis and Kelly this morning where they talked about life after leaving the show and performed. Anoop sang “You Were Always On My Mind” and it really reminded me of what a good singer he is. He had a little more facial hair but I’m not sure that I like the look for him. Regardless, I thought it was a good appearance (he could… More »
Megan Joy sang “Walkin’ After Midnight” on Live! With Regis and Kelly and I was really glad that she sang that instead of “Turn Your Lights Down Low.” Anyway, I loved her natural look even though I’m not sure it was a better performance of the song than on Idol. Of course, Regis and Kelly asked her about the controversy surrounding the comments she and judge, Simon Cowell, exchanged. After explaining it for the millionth time, she obliged… More »
I hadn’t seen the episode of Live with Regis and Kelly with American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi but I saw it this morning. Kara brought her family tree chart and showed Regis how they are related. Kara also talked about she had been in school preparing for a career in law when she decided that she wanted to be a singer and shocked her family by dropping out. She also briefly touched on the rumors that… More »
