Fox wins studio war for “Machete” starring Lindsay Lohan
Out of six studios bidding for Robert Rodriguez’s movie Machete, 20th Century Fox has won the domestic distribution rights. The Machete cast includes Robert DeNiro, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and Danny Trejo.
According to Deadline Hollywood, the interested studios got a sneak-peek of 15 to 30 minutes of footage along with a proposal which included money talks, guarantee of a wide release and a backend for Rodriguez.

According to IMDB, the ”brutal rampage of revenge” movie Machete is set for a April 16, 2010 release.
Machete is the feature-length version of the fake trailer by Robert Rodriguez that originally appeared in Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse.

Sony acquires distribution rights for Machete
Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group has acquired most international distribution rights for Lindsay Lohan’s newest movie Machete, according to Variety.
