I’m sorry, I don’t care how hard Robert Rodriguez expects us to suspend our disbelief for his new movie Machete, there is no reality in which someone would let Lindsay Lohan anywhere near a gun. Or a nun’s habit, for that manner. This is actually just a picture of her partying at Cannes, isn’t it? (P.S. – Wasn’t she kicked out of that film??)

Will Lindsay Lohan be wet and topless in her upcoming movie Machete?

According to Hollywood Life, it is true – Lindsay’s character April will be wet and topless in the Robert Rodriguez’ movie because they have allegedly read the script.

“HollywoodLife.com got a hold of the original Machete script, and as of now, Lindsay – who has about 10 minutes of screen time as gun-toting socialite April Benz – is slated to get wet and naked while swimming in a waterfall with Alicia Rachel Marek, 34, who plays her mother, June,” according to Hollywood Life.

But is it true? The story hasn’t been confirmed by Lindsay or anyone associated with the movie.

Either way, we don’t have too much longer to wait to find out for ourselves. Machete is set for release on April 16.

Most of us are just happy to see her return to the big screen.

Fox wins studio war for “Machete” starring Lindsay Lohan

Out of six studios bidding for Robert Rodriguez’s movie Machete, 20th Century Fox has won the domestic distribution rights. The Machete cast includes Robert DeNiro, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and Danny Trejo.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the interested studios got a sneak-peek of 15 to 30 minutes of footage along with a proposal which included money talks, guarantee of a wide release and a backend for Rodriguez.

Lindsay Lohan has a role in the movie as April, described as a “socialite with a penchant for guns.”

Lindsay traveled to Austin in mid-September to film scenes for Machete.

The movie is set for release on April 16.

Lindsay Lohan sparkles at Golden Globes after-party

Lindsay Lohan arrives at the 11th Annual Instyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globe after-party in Beverly Hills on Sunday wearing a sparkly silver hooded mini dress by Brian Lichtenberg.

Lindsay talked to Extra about her recent humanitarian trip to India to film a documentary for BBC on child trafficking.

“I think its so important right now — especially [because of] what just happened in Haiti — for everybody to kind of look at themselves and look at the life that they have and be really grateful for what they have and do as much as they can… especially if they have a voice,” Lindsay told Extra.

She said her trip was “really life-changing.”

When asked about Lindsay’s favorite highlight from the Golden Globes, she said it was Drew Barrymore.

“Drew Barrymore,” Lindsay told Extra. “I just love her so much. Her speech was so genuine and I just thought it was beautiful.”

Lindsay said her style inspiration for her hooded dress was from Lady Gaga, who she loves.

“I feel a little bit like Lady Gaga with the hood,” Lindsay says. “I love her.”

When asked about projects, Lindsay mentioned her upcoming movie Machete.

“I have movie coming out called ‘Machete’ with Robert Rodriguez, who was the director — so I’m very excited for that,” Lindsay told Extra.

Machete set for April 2010 release date

According to IMDB, the ”brutal rampage of revenge” movie Machete is set for a April 16, 2010 release.

Machete is the feature-length version of the fake trailer by Robert Rodriguez that originally appeared in Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s Grindhouse.

Machete will star Danny Trejo as Machete, a renegade former Mexican Federale who attempts to assassinate McLaughlin (Robert De Niro), a corrupt senator, but then gets shot himself. Although hurt, he goes on the run after Benz (Jeff Fahey), the one who double-crossed him; this is when the “brutal rampage of revenge” takes place.

Lindsay Lohan has a small role in the movie as April, described s a “socialite with a penchant for guns.” Lindsay traveled to Austin for two days in mid-September to film scenes for Machete.

Others in the movie include Michelle Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Jesica Aba Rose McGowan, Steven Seagal and Don Johnson.

Sony recently purchased the distribution rights to the movie.

After only 2 days in Austin to film Machete, Lindsay Lohan hopped back on the plane to make her way back to LA. Seems almost weird to see Lindsay so casual after all those Fashion Week events!

And in other stupid rumor news, the New York Daily News was saying that Lindsay Lohan went to the G-Star event in order to “suck up” to True Blood star Ryan Kwanten. So stupid.

And just a brief personal note that you’ll be seeing a new writer here at LohanGroupie – Cheril – for a few months while I’m on maternity leave. I know you’ll love her!

Lindsay Lohan is currently in Austin, Texas to resume filming her cameo in Robert Rodriguez’s film, Machete. Lindsay Lohan has the role of April, a “socialite with a penchant for guns.”
