Mary-Kate recycled a lot of the same look over the holidays. I love how she becomes obsessed with certain pieces and will wear them over and over. One piece that’s caught my eye is her gorgeous mustard scarf! All the photos of her donning it are exclusives (so I can’t post them here), but you can see the scarf over at Olsen Files.
Luckily, Forever 21 has a near identical scarf that won’t break the bank!
This scarf can be yours for… More »
Who What Wear, one of my favorite fashion blogs, announced their 2009 Style Awards winners. Mary-Kate and Ashley were named “Most Influential,” in part for their awesome personal style and in part for the astounding influence their lines, the Row and Elizabeth and James, have had in the fashion world.
Other winners include Alexa Chung (Best Import), Erin Wasson (Best MOD Style), Rachel Zoe (Best Fashion Pro) and Georgia Jagger (Icon-in-Training).

Mary-Kate Olsen headed home for Christmas on December 22nd, where photographers caught up with the tiny starlet. She did her best to make it through the airport quickly. I can’t post the photos here, but check them out at Olsen Files.
I’m not the biggest fan of this outfit, but it looks comfy and can transition from the New York winter weather to the warmer California climate!
Here’s how to get this look for less.
An all-weather parka (American Apparel, $85.00) takes you… More »
Mary-Kate braved the cold weather in a tough-girl cool ensemble on December 21st. I can’t post the photos here, but check them out at Olsen Files.
I really like this look, but think it’s too cold to wear right now in Toronto! Maybe in a few months!
Here’s how to get this look for less!

Ashley Olsen opted for very (very casual looks during her down time in 2009. This prompted a lot of people to wonder whether she’d lost her style. However, every time she stepped on a red carpet, she hit a home run.
Ashley embraced simplicity chic, often forgoing accessories all together and pulling together perfectly tailored outfits with clean, sharp lines.
Here are my favorite looks of Ashley’s from 2009. Which ones were your favorites?

Mary-Kate is known for her quirky, independent style. So much so that she and sister Ashley are racking up fashion of the decade accolades.
MK explored different aspects of her personal style this past year, trying oversized blazer, clogs, hats and pantlessness. Regardless of the looks being hits or misses, they were true to Mary-Kate and her trend-setting prowess.
Below are my ten favorite looks of 2009. Which ones did you like best?
10) Mary-Kate at Isaac Mizrahi for QVC launch, November 4th

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s rise through the fashion ranks made StyleList’s 25 Biggest Style Stories of the Decade. Ashley Olsen wore her Prada T-Strap studded sandals everywhere this fall.
Thanks to In Their Closet for finding this amazing knock-off! Michael Antonio “Tiff” T-Strap Sandals are almost exactly the same, except for the price, of course! The studs are rounded, not pointed and the inside is gold, but the similarities are astounding.
For only $69.95, how can you not smile? They also come in red or purple.
The original Prada version is currently sold out, but the white version is… More »

Style.com is claiming that the 2000s wouldn’t have been the decade it was (Well, fashion-wise at lease!) if it weren’t for the Olsens. I couldn’t agree more! From their trendsetting days at NYU early in the decade to their trailblazing fashion lines at the end, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen changed the face of fashion.
In honor of the designing duo, Style.com put together a great slideshow looking back at the decade that was everything Olsen. They’ve grown up so much!

I love Ashley’s look at the New York Nine premiere from earlier this week. It’s such a great mix of comfort and class. The fuzzy jacket and satin pants give this look an air of decadence, which is perfect for the holiday season!

With the holidays upon us, you’ll need the perfect party dress. It needs to stand out from the crowd but be versatile enough you can wear it over and over, as I’m sure you have tons of engagements in the coming weeks!

Blake Lively wore several gorgeous party dresses when she hosted Saturday Night Live yesterday. They were perfect for the upcoming holiday season and showed off her gorgeous legs!
Because I live in Canada, I can’t post the video here (silly Hulu!). But you can see the whole episode over at NBC.com.
One of the dresses Blake wore was the Elizabeth and James Luna dress in emerald green. I love the bell sleeves of this look and think it’s a perfect party dress!

Who What Wear, one of my favourite fashion blogs, put together a holiday gift guide inspired by none other than Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen! The “mogulista”, as they call the lady in question is all about professionalism, chicness and getting the job done while looking great doing it.
Her agenda is always packed with board meetings and strategizing sessions, yet this single-mindedness and professionalism is matched only by her appetite for the finer fashionable things in life. She may be able… More »
