Mary-Kate Olsen Denies Wedding Rumors

The cover of this week’s National Enquirer declares that Mary-Kate Olsen has a prenup ready and it’s worth $900 million dollars.

“Their love has grown to the point where it’s time to take the next step in their relationship,” their source claims. “Because many millions of dollars are at stake, there’s no question that Mary-Kate’s legal advisers will make sure a pre-nup is ironed out, and Nate’s signature is on the dotted line.”

This is important because according to Star, Nate proposed recently.

“Nate gave her a truffle box,” Star’s source claims. “But inside, she found a little jewellery box instead. When she opened it, there was a beautiful engagement ring. Mary-Kate was absolutely swept off her feet by Nate’s proposal. She’s so thrilled, she can barely keep it quiet.”

She is keeping it quiet, however, because it’s completely untrue. Mary-Kate’s rep released a statement denying a prenup and an engagement, declaring: “There’s absolutely no truth to any of this.”

Oh tabloids. Why do you lie so?

Mary-Kate & Ashley’s “Race to the Altar”

The most recent issue of Star (the one with Tori Spelling on the cover) has a hilarious story about Mary-Kate and Ashley inside. Apparently, the girls are racing to the altar and are competing over not only who is going to be married first, but whose wedding is going to be the best!

“Mary-Kate and Ashley are trying to one-up each other with their weddings,” a source tells the tabloid. “Neither of them wants to be second, because whoever gets married first will steal all the attention from the other!”

There were already engagement rumors about Ashley and her boyfriend, Justin Bartha, earlier this year. They originated in Star and Ashley’s rep publicly denied them.

Mary-Kate is supposedly eager to get hitched too – and is worried about Ashley’s own wedding stealing her thunder.

“She would love nothing more than to have people talk about her wedding for years to come — and forget all about Ashley’s!” the source exclaimed.

This entire story is preposterous. Both girls are young, busy and not even engaged. If they ever do get married, I’ll be super-duper happy for them (and would die to see their wedding photos!). But they’ll get married when they’re ready to get married, no matter how much Star wants them too.

Was Mary-Kate Going to be a CW Star?

According to the New York Daily News, Mary-Kate was in talks to star in a vampire-themed show on the CW Network!

The show, titled Blue Bloods was about trendy socialite vampires in New York. Mary-Kate was slated to play Schuyler van Alen.

The show was going to be based on the series of the same name and author Melissa de la Cruz personally chose Mary-Kate to play Schuyler. However, the network couldn’t get Mary-Kate on board, even after months of negotiations.

It didn’t help that the show would be very similar to Gossip Girl and the now-defunct The Beautiful Life.

The network then opted to go with The Vampire Diaries, which is now one of their most successful shows.

I don’t know how much truth there is to this, but I think it was for the best MK didn’t go on the CW Network. It’s not really in line with the type of actress she’s trying to become.

Besides, having a big name attached to a television project doesn’t usually pan out. It didn’t for Mischa Barton and The Beautiful Life.

Mary-Kate & Ashley Rumored to Be Front Row for Burberry

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are long-time supporters of Christopher Bailey, the creative director for Burberry. So much so that it’s rumored the ladies will be attending London Fashion Week and will sit front row at Burberry Spring 2010!

Mary-Kate and Ashley have really downplayed their presence at fashion weeks in the past few years. I believe this is because they want to focus the attention they receive towards their designs and not their status as fashion icons.

The Burberry show will take place Tuesday night. I hope this rumor is true! I love seeing MK and Ashley at Fashion Week in New York, London and Paris!

Mary-Kate Olsen & Bradley Cooper: More than Friends?

Mary-Kate Olsen has been hanging out with He’s Just Not that Into YouBradley Cooper quite a bit recently. They attended the after-party for the Woody Allen film together earlier this week and left the Chanel & Tribeca Film Festival dinner together in the same car.

Naturally, this has led the press to speculate about romantic exploits between the two, even though MK was seen kissing Nate in downtown New York only yesterday.

The NY Daily News is reporting that the twosome were fairly flirtatious throughout the dinner and that MK repeatedly kept touching Bradley’s arm.

Honestly, I’d think nothing of it. I’m sure MK is just a touchy person and her and Bradley have become fast friends through having lots of friends and interests in common. She seems far to happy and stable with Nate for there to be rumors like this.

Fred Segal Gets Reality Show, May Showcase Olsen Fashion

Fred Segal, the celebrity fashion mecca in Los Angeles, is getting it’s own reality show on Bravo. The currently unnamed show will document the daily operations of the department store’s Santa Monica location.

Why this show is getting so much buzz is that a major focal point will be with how the store – which attracts loads of celebrities – deals with their high profile customers. And those customers include our favorite fashionistas Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen!

“Fred Segal is a legendary retail haven synonymous with high fashion and style, and the fashionistas who work, shop and gossip at the store promise to have arresting, entertaining, colorful personalities and lives” Bravo said.

I’m really excited for this show. However, the possibility of its highest profile customers (like MK and Ashley) actually appearing on the show are slim to none.

I remember when The Rachel Zoe Project premiered and was really excited to see her work with some A-list stars. A few made the single, obligatory appearance, but only Joy Bryant really let the show examine the styling process and the stylist/star relationship.

My guess for this Fred Segal show? Lots of reality stars and B- and C-list who need buzz. No Young Hollywood, not Paris, Nicole or Lindsay, and especially not the notoriously private Olsens.

Jonathan Jaxson Shopping Book Deal, Features Mary-Kate Olsen

Jonathan Jaxson, the wannabe celebrity blogger and publicist, is now shopping a book around to various publishers, Gawker reports. Jonathan is perhaps best known for his trashy celeb blog JJ’s Dirt, where he constantly talked about all the “celebrities” he “knew” as they partied the night away, did drugs and had sex in not-so-private places.

Jonathan’s book, titled Don’t You Know Who I Am Yet???, looks back at his life and career, as he and his mother frequented the talk show circuit, he became the publicist for a few D-list celebs and as he tried to become the next Perez Hilton. What he’s really hoping will sell the book, though, is not his life story, but rather the bits of celeb dirt he spills throughout its pages.

JJ famously claims the first time he met Mary-Kate Olsen was a few years ago, before she entered the rehabiliation centre for health reasons. According to his book,

Bungalow 8 was the place I met Ms. Mary-Kate Olsen. I was extremely disappointed in finding out that the Mary-Kate I was meeting was cocained up and completely wasted on booze. It was sad really. Really sad

This isn’t the first time JJ has made this claim about MK and cocaine. Unlike Ashley, who has sued tabloids for libel when claims of drug use were published, MK never contested JJ’s claim. I wonder if she will now that he’s using it years later to continue his quest for fame.

Why do you think MK never contested it? Is there truth in what JJ saw? Or does MK just care less than Ashley about cultivating a reputation?

Mary-Kate Olsen and Kirsten Dunst Fight in Miami

Mary-Kate Olsen is still in Miami enjoying Art Basel but her fun was dampered a bit when she got into a public argument with Kirsten Dunst on Wednesday night. The pair were sat together at a table at the Audi party and, at first, seemed to get along. But then the conversation turned sour. None of the onlookers who spoke to the tabloids seemed to know what the argument was about.

“They just kind of stared at each other for a long time and then started exchanging nasty words,” a source told Page Six. “Then Olsen just got up and left.”

However, another source speculated perhaps it wasn’t Kirsten who set MK off, rather, she was just the victim. MK “looked like she had not brushed her hair in a week and she was chain-smoking the entire time and sitting like a sourpuss with her boyfriend. She was acting very oddly.”

Its possible that MK just isn’t having a great time. I’m sure Nate is super-busy and finding out the paparazzi has followed you to Miami can’t be great. Any other ideas as to why MK would be having a not-so-fun time and get into a random fight with Kirsten?

Mary-Kate Olsen Not Pregnant, Rep Says

Mary-Kate Olsen finally did something about the pregnancy rumor started by the National Enquirer.

Last week, the Enquirer released a story speculating MK might be pregnant because she’s gained some weigth and has been looking “rounder and fuller.” This internet spread like wildfire all over the internet.

“Mary-Kate is absolutely not pregnant,” her rep told US Magazine.

It’s sad that MK has to officially counteract a rumor that is really crap.

Mary-Kate Olsen’s Bodyguard “Tells All”

In the December 8 issue of Star Magazine several bodyguards talk about the wild antics their former clients did. I read the article, and the antics weren’t that crazy.

For example, they spoke to Mary-Kate Olsen’s bodyguard. Apparently MK used to immediately change into new clothes she bought in the back of her car. Sometimes, depending on the undergarmets, this meant MK occasionally got naked. Scandalous!

Mary-Kate also always relied on her bodyguards to get her home safely after nights of drinking and partying. If she falls asleep in the back of the car, the driver is to wait with her until she wakes up before he and/or her bodyguard and get her safely inside.

I don’t see how either of these things are scandalous or incriminating for MK. I’ve occasionally changed in the back of my car-it doesn’t sound as those MK has a fetish for it or anything. And as for making sure MK gets home safe after partying-uh, isn’t that the bodyguard’s job?
