Meaghan Jette Martin, that’s who! The Disney Camp Rock star who will be playing the new girl in town who joins up with the next generation of plastics. This includes head Mean Girl and former Desperate Housewife cast member Maiara Walsh, Jennifer Stone and Nicole Anderson. It’s not being adapted by Tina Fey and we doubt there will be much resemblance to the original except in name, but hey, we could always be pleasantly surprised. We just hope they don’t try to make “Fetch” happen.

Both young actors are likely to land on their feet, since Meaghan is gearing up for Camp Rock 2 this summer and Nicholas was busy filming the movie Chalet Girl with Ed Westwick when we spoke last month. The show’s other stars, Ethan Peck and Lindsay Shaw, are also certainly going to be fine — he has a role in the upcoming summer blockbuster The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and she also has two projects in the can.

Fan’s learned of the end of the show when creator Carter Covington announced its demise via Twitter yesterday, adding that the last five episodes, which will air, are “fantastic.” Are you going to miss 10 Things?

The Princess & the Frog marks the return of the Disney hand drawn animated film. Princess Tiana joins the group of Disney Princesses as the 9th princess. The story is a modernized version of the classic tale of the Frog Prince and takes place in New Orleans. It opens everywhere on December 11.

Meaghan is Easton Elf and plays opposite Jonathan Morgan Heit as Weston Elf. The two are high-strung elves who monitor the North Pole Weather Center. To kick off the movie and holiday season, ABC Family and Build-A-Bear Workshop will host preview parties at several mall locations, offering Guests and special families the opportunity to view the movie early.

The famed Build-A-Bear mooses are bringing their adventure to the small screen after they were introduced last year online through a series of webisodes on the Build A Bear website.

Meaghan is also busy with her show, 10 Things I Hate About You. She says it’s different working with this cast because they are all adults!

“It’s very different because I’m working with adults now, like almost all adults, even most of the people on the show with me. I’m the only one in the lead cast under 20. So it’s very different, but at the same time it’s exactly the same. We still have so much fun. I love coming to work every day, and I cannot emphasize how much I love it. I mean, it’s only when we’re working till three in the morning that I’m like, “Oh, my God, I can’t do this.” No, but it’s so—it makes it worth it.”

The show is based on a 1999 high school film version of The Taming of the Shrew with Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles.

In 10 Things Kat (Lindsey Shaw) and her younger sister, Bianca (Meaghan Martin), are new to Padua High School, and they have very different goals. Kat, a surly rebel, wants to be left alone, while Bianca, pretty and conventional, yearns to be popular — which means joining the pep squad and befriending the head cheerleader, Chastity (Dana Davis), who is rich, spoiled and mean.

A cute, slightly geeky sophomore, Cameron James (Nicholas Braun), takes one look at Bianca and falls in love. Larry Miller, who played Dr. Walter Stratford in the movie, is back as the strict father who won’t allow Bianca to date until Kat does. And if that isn’t enough to thwart Bianca’s social ambitions, Kat clashes with Chastity on the first day of school. Watching Kat leave, Chastity turns to Bianca and says huffily, “I swear, they will let anyone into public school.”

Kat also gets off to a hostile start with Patrick (Ethan Peck), a handsome boy with a smoldering look and an unsavory reputation so mysterious and scary that no one in school will go near him.
