Between The Lines: Everyone Has An Opinion On Lindsay Lohan

This past week saw Lindsay Lohan headed back to rehab after failing her latest drug test. The actress checked herself into California’s Betty Ford Center voluntarily, a move that’s been cited as a reflection of Lindsay’s growing maturity about her own addiction problems. The trouble is, Lindsay’s addiction problems seem to be everyone else’s problems as well. As often happens with public figures, people feel justified in offering their own opinions about the celeb’s issues. And when those people are themselves public figures? Well, you can see where this is going!

Lindsay’s brother, Michael Jr., has come out with a statement of support for his sister, wherein he discussed the negative influences surrounding her at every turn:

I think that in the past, her vision had been blurred… People she was surrounded by – enablers, leeches, whatever you’d like to call it – made things very difficult. It’s quite strenuous to right your wrongs when the people around you help justify your actions

Former addict Charlie Sheen (who was hospitalized for an overdose in 1998) spoke about the starlet at a Los Angeles event. He was quick to offer his own advice, saying:

It’s not easy to begin with, but then you put it under the bright lights of this circus, it makes it that much more difficult… People just need to leave her alone and let her do her thing. And, you know, at the end of the day she’ll win.”

Even Britney Spears apparently wants to to advise Lindsay. Sources claim she’s concerned about her friend and offered to sit down for a little chat about life choices. (Lindsay rejected the offer.) The source said:

What Lindsay doesn’t see is that Britney is the perfect cautionary tale for her. If she doesn’t start to listen now, she could end up just like Britney did.

Hmm. We think Britney’s got enough of her own problems at the moment!

Buy Lindsay Lohan clothes from LohanHouse.com

For a few weeks now, people have been able to buy clothing from the Lohan family website, Lohanhouse.com, where clothes in the closets of Lindsay and her siblings Ali and Michael Jr.

The selection ranges from shirts, jackets, jeans, shoes, bags, hats and collectibles. Lindsay, of course, has the largest selection available to sell at 46 items.

And you can really get some good bargains there are a few things that are under $100 and others range at the most to about $450. There are a few Marc Jacob pieces as well as Juicy Couture, etc. There’s some cute stuff in there but nothing that is red-carpet quality. I could see Lindsay wearing some of the pieces in her younger years, not now.

In the collectibles (there’s not much in that section), you can buy a MyScene Goes Hollywood autographed Lindsay doll for $150. There are seven available.

So what do you think? Would you buy something from the Lohan clan’s closets? Personally, I would like to see more items added to the website?

Michael Lohan owes $15,000 in child support

We already knew that Michael Lohan was behind on his child support he owes to his ex-wife Dina Lohan for Lindsay Lohan’s siblings Ali, Cody and Michael Jr.

According to TMZ, Michael Lohan owes his ex-wife $15,000 in back child support.

But the big question is has he been making money for releasing audio tapes relating to Lindsay, and if so, will he use that money to pay off his family commitments? I guess only Michael Lohan knows for sure.

Lindsay Lohan with family on Thanksgiving

Lindsay Lohan, who took a flight out of LA earlier this week, is spending Thanksgiving with her family on Long Island with her mom Dina Lohan, sister Ali and her two brothers Cody and Michael Jr., according to her mom.

And it sounds like Lindsay will be busy in the kitchen!

“Lindsay is making the garlic mashed potatoes. They are amazing!” Dina Lohan told PEOPLE while taking a break from serving a Thanksgiving lunch to autistic and special needs community members at the Harbor Links Country Club in Long Island, N.Y. on Tuesday.

Dina told reporters her daughter was doing fine.

”Lindsay is doing great right now. She’s happy and very busy working. She works a lot and so we’re excited to have her home for Thanksgiving,” Dina Lohan told People.

And everyone will have a role to play with making Thanksgiving dinner at the Lohan house.

”Ali is doing the stuffing and I’m doing the turkey and making sure nothing burns,” says Dina told People magazine.

Once the meal is prepared, the family will celebrate a tradition.

“We go around the table and say what we are thankful for,” Dina told People. “I grew up with it and it’s just a Thanksgiving tradition we have going on at our house that we grabbed onto … We are so blessed and it’s important to share what we are thankful for, and not to take things for granted.”

I hope Lindsay and her family enjoy their Thanksgiving together – they deserve it.

Lindsay Lohan and Steven Klein

Lindsay Lohan was spotted on the arm of Steven Klein this weekend! Lindsay attended an event at Steven’s home; the event was HEAT, a celebration of the new Ellen Hermanson Breast Center Southampton Hospital. The pair were also spotted at the Beach Blanket Bungalow at Pink Elephant in Southampton, NY, near Lindsay’s family home.

Steven Klein is a well-known photographer, working with many well-known celebrities including Madonna and Britney Spears.

Lindsay wasn’t just with Steven at this event. Also there was her little brother, Michael Lohan Jr.

Lindsay Lohan Leaving Bardot

Lindsay Lohan seemed to have a great time at Bardot last night! Lindsay and her entourage of friends were all seen leaving the club in high spirits, with Lindsay’s little brother Michael Lohan Jr. behind the wheel.

As you can see in the video below, the paparazzi and some fans are all screaming Happy Birthday at Lindsay, then progressing into song. It was quite the frenzy!

Lindsay Lohan kicked off her birthday celebration last night at Bardot, technically being there late enough to start celebrating in the wee hours of the morning! With Lindsay were a number of friends, Samantha Ronson, and Lindsay’s younger brother Michael Lohan Jr.

Lindsay’s Private Jet

Lindsay Lohan didn’t spent very long in Las Vegas! After her fantastic birthday celebration at Wet Republic, Lindsay flew back to LA. Lindsay was seen shopping on Robertson Boulevard and having lunch with younger brother Michael, whom Lindsay last spent time with in London.

As is Lindsay’s way, at some point during the day she swapped from the black outfit into a cream-colored one!

Lindsay Lohan and brother Michael Lohan (Jr.) were spotted together in London yesterday. Lindsay seems to have had a great time with her brother, and is already missing him!

Lindsay put on her Twitter 8 hours ago:

“I am at London Heathrow missing my brother Michael!”

Michael Lohan is Lindsay’s younger brother, next in line after her. Lindsay was born in July of 1986, with Michael born in December of 1987.
