Lindsay Lohan’s Secret Diary Reveals She Was ‘In Love’ With Heath Ledger

Star magazine and RadarOnline are reporting that they’ve gotten their mitts on Lindsay Lohan‘s private diary and that it reveals that Linds was madly in love with dearly departed star Heath Ledger. Whether they were actually physically involved is unclear, but the January 22, 2008 entry from a 21-year-old Lindsay reads (in pink pen, natch):

Today Heath died. I’m in love with him…. He was the love of my life. He taught me so much, and he was everything I’ve ever wanted and more.

I want to hear him laugh and hold me. I crave his touch and care.

When a person dies the world stops. I’m numb.

Now, “obtained” could mean anything from a resourceful paparazzo sneaking into Lindsay’s home, to Dina Lohan turning over her daughter’s pink-penned ramblings for the press to feast on. But let’s assume it’s real.

Star goes on to say that Lindsay and Heath were so close that she had plans to visit him in New York City just a few days after his death. Indeed, the world did notice Lindsay grieving (see the photo) but didn’t think much of it in light of the grief of Heath’s ex-girlfriend (and mother of his child) Michelle Williams. Ironically, there was some surprise about who he had been seeing at the time of his death, but that was Mary-Kate Olsen.

That said, the rumors definitely existed. Back in 2007, an Australian magazine claimed that Lindsay and Heath had a “purely physical” friends-with-benefits deal going on. However, sites like Technorati pointed out that the only “relationship” the two might have had was the notoriously hard-partying Lindsay supplying Heath with drugs.

Astonishingly, the person this most lends credence to is Michael Lohan. Back in 2008, he was shopping around recorded phone conversations with Dina, which alleged a romantic and dangerous mentor-mentee relationship between Heath and their daughter. RadarOnline (no surprise) published a transcript of one call in which Dina lays out her fears:

Because when she’s drunk or takes an Adderall with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking. And she was dating Heath when he died. I don’t know if you know that, but I know cause I would drop her off and they were friends very, very close, ok? So that fucked her up.

Perez Hilton makes an observation that fills in another puzzle piece: Why LiLo was so angry when Michelle Williams nabbed the role of Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn. Not only did Michelle get to be the love of Heath’s life, but she also played Lindsay’s idol. Them’s the breaks, kid.

Kate Major Voluntarily Checks Herself Into Rehab

Thank God—Kate Major is getting help for alcohol abuse. TMZ reports that the gossip-reporter-turned-reality-stars’-girlfriend has voluntarily checked herself into a treatment center in Boca Raton, Florida, in order to deal with her addiction. She’ll stay there for 90 days.

Kate was en route to Florida to address the restraining order against ex-boyfriend Michael Lohan when she had a drunken fistfight with another passenger. This incident was likely what compelled her to get help; a source says she feels that drinking makes her act like someone she isn’t. (A keen defense when you’re looking to excuse battering another person and dating deadbeat dads Michael and Jon Gosselin.) She used to live in Florida, but was evicted from her condo in late October after Michael got arrested for beating her up.

Although Kate’s recent tweets seem carefree, at least one alludes to her decision before TMZ announced it. On November 18, a few days after her birthday, she wrote, Dont go out at all anymore zero energy and always tired..just looking forward to MY new chapter of life. ready for vacay& new arrivals.

Here’s hoping real-life treatment can accomplish what Celebrity Rehab failed to do.

Michael Lohan’s Ex-Girlfriend Kate Major Arrested For Battery On An Airplane

Here’s some irony for your Monday morning: Kate Major was en route to Florida, where she was following up on her request for a restraining order against ex Michael Lohan, when she got arrested for hitting someone on her plane. The reason for that restraining order? Michael allegedly beat her up last month.

TMZ says that Kate got into an altercation with another passenger on the plane at around 11:45 p.m. She was “intoxicated” but still able to “batter” someone. What’s interesting is that she was flying first-class to Florida; so was her beef with another customer up front, or did someone in coach taunt her? Unfortunately, we have no idea what the fight was about.

In terms of jail time, Kate got off easier than Michael, or even his daughter Lindsay: She was only cited for misdemeanor battery, then let go around 2 a.m. However, she hasn’t yet tweeted about the incident.

Just last Friday, Kate appeared on Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers, where she said that Michael is on steroids and threatening to shop around two sex tapes of her—sex tapes she said he shot without her consent. She also said that he had beaten her up in front of his mother and that he wanted to throw her off a balcony and commit suicide so that they would be like Romeo and Juliet. Whew!

Michael Lohan, father to our hapless Lindsay, was arrested again last night just 12 hours after being released from jail, where he was being held after girlfriend Kate Major accused him of domestic abuse. The cops showed up at his hotel in Florida after he violated a restraining order by calling Major on the phone. They knew this happened because they were standing in the room when he called her, and she put him on speaker phone. D’oh!

But that’s not all. When he saw the cops coming, Lohan tried to get away after the fashion of a bumbling cartoon burglar.

His arrest report states: “we saw the def fall from a 3rd floor balcony next to the one we were standing on. The def apparently leaped up from his balcony and grabbed a hold of the roof. He then must have scurried across the roof (about 30 feet) until he thought he was hanging over top of the next balcony. The def then let go but missed this balcony. He came crashing down on top of wooden high chairs that were laying on the ground. This fall was 34 feet (measured with laser). The def then hid in some trees directly below where he was apprehended.”

He’s being charged with violating the judge’s order not to contact Major, as well as non-violent (to anyone but himself, at least) resisting of arrest. He’s also been given a failing grade in spatial reasoning, because damn dude, way to make it harder on yourself.

For her part, Kate Major is understandably pissed. “I am sick of being lied about by Michael Lohan Sr.’s false allegations about his continual physical and mental abuse toward me,” she told TMZ. “He has no regard for the justice system. He can beat up women but Mr. tough guy who slurred his words calling me 5 times after getting out of jail wasn’t too tough by jumping off a 3rd floor balcony into a tree to try to flee from going back to the same jail he just got released from less than 12 hours ago.”

We’re so used to Michael Lohan‘s habit of daily calling upon God that we didn’t take much notice when he posted this yesterday. It’s unclear if he posted this before or after his explosive fight with (ex?)girlfriend Kate Major—a fight that led to him getting arrested for domestic abuse.

He must’ve known that something would come out of it, since he sounds so sure that God will understand his need to a) hit his girlfriend and b) try to escape the police. Also, that typo is great, right?

The latest star of the ongoing saga of the Lohan family is pop Michael Lohan, who was arrested last night in Tampa, Florida. Police arrived at Michael’s house to break up a fight between him and girlfriend Kate Major. This is the second time this year Michael has been arrested on domestic abuse charges — in March, he was taken into custody after allegedly fighting with Kate.

Evidently, Michael tried to escape police custody later that night. He complained of chest pain and was taken to the hospital. After receiving treatment, he tried to break loose — unsurprisingly, his escape attempt was unsuccessful (probably could have used Groucho glasses).

This came just days after Michael — who has long struggled with addiction himself — accused daughter Lindsay Lohan of “smoking crack or meth.” On the police document, Michael listed his employment as the director of marketing of a pharmaceutical company, which is the wrong kind of ironic.

After having her probation revoked yesterday, everyone’s favorite troubled starlet left the courthouse in handcuffs. She’s already posted her $100,000 bail (practice makes perfect?), but not before being given the mugshot treatment once again. Her probation violation hearing has been set for November 2, at which point she might be sentenced to up to a year in jail, but the chances of her actually serving even a fraction of that are pretty slim.

Never one to miss a chance to trumpet his faux-concern for his daughter, Lindsay‘s dad Michael Lohan had this to say to HLN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell yesterday:

She’s an addict, she doesn’t care and she’s in denial. She’s smoking either crack or meth, either one or the other. I’m not going to shade it. I want her in a treatment program for a year. Nothing is going to change in her life. She’s going to be appearing before judges in the future if she doesn’t get help, instead of doing community service in the morgue she’s going to wind up in the morgue.

On the one hand, I’m glad someone’s saying this, because it’s most likely true. On the other, that’s a fairly shitty thing for a parent to do, no? If he really cared about Lindsay, wouldn’t he be trying to help her without creating yet more negative headlines? The degree to which Michael Lohan seems to enjoy talking about his daughter’s private issues to the media is more than a little disturbing. I mean, I feel kind of bad about doing that, and I don’t even know her. Suddenly, her massive rat’s nest of problems seems slightly more understandable.

Ali Lohan Looked Terrifyingly Thin At Mom Dina Lohan’s Birthday Party

This photo of what appears to be the perverse act of Lindsay Lohan making out with her own mother was taken at mom Dina Lohan‘s 49th birthday party. The rest of the Lohan clan was there, too — Michael Jr., Cody, and Aliana, who made her first public appearance since rumors of a potential modeling-related plastic surgery procedure and/or eating disorder began circulating. In photos taken that night, 17-year-old Ali looks frighteningly thin as she swims in her clothing against a backdrop of various celebrities.

I remember my mother’s own 49th birthday. It was a nice, fun evening: my dad cooked dinner and following that we all had cake. I made Mom a card and bought her what was probably a pair of earrings or a sweater — certainly not a Chanel gift bag, ostensibly gotten for free at a Fashion Week event, like Lindsay gifted Dina. There wasn’t a person in the room at my mother’s birthday dinner who could claim any amount of plastic surgery and no one felt guilty eating the cake. I would venture to say that a celebration like mine was a pretty typical way to ring in a family birthday. But add a paparazzi photographer to the mix and being a teenager at a family gathering takes on new gravity. Here’s a comment Lindsay posted to Twitter about the attention Ali has been getting:

“I love how haters pick on my sister yet every runway model is just as thin! My sister is gorgeous and I’m so proud of her and her career!!!!”

The notion of whether or not Ali “gorgeous” isn’t the focus of the controversy surrounding her. Nor is society necessarily questioning the beauty of too-thin runway models — being beautiful and being unhealthy are not mutually exclusive. People are alarmed because they’re looking at a girl who appears drastically different from the way she looked just months ago, and that’s anything but typical, even for a teenager hitting a growth spurt. Seeing something so disturbing shifts focus to the family — and when this teen’s mother is out getting shitfaced and falling all over her other daughter (her recovering addict daughter), it becomes even more difficult to accept that Ali’s situation is a healthy one.

Why are people looking at photos like the one above and reacting so strongly? Well, for one, because we’re bored at our desks and we love gawking at celebrities. But I’d like to believe there’s also an element of genuine concern at play here — for Ali and for a society that encourages a teenage girl to follow in the self-destructive footsteps of her older sister.
