‘Expendable’ Nostalgia

I watched The Expendables the other day and loved it. The inspired cast of muscle-bound 1990s action heroes was too much for me to resist and the film was well worth every penny. It wasn’t high-brow intellectual viewing, but great fun all the same. I left the cinema theater thinking how you just don’t get action heroes like that anymore. Times have changed, and I thought about films, people and everything in between that defined the past few decades. Production for the long awaited sequel for Sin City starring Jessica Alba as Nancy Callahan is right around the corner, this is according to producer Frank Miller. Miller, who visited Rome to introduce Will Eisner’s comic strip adaptation “The Spirit”, got the chance to speak about his other project “Sin City 2″.
