Milo Ventimiglia Releases "Ultradome" Trailer

Huge nerd and hearthrob Milo Ventimiglia (Jess on Gilmore Girls) recently sold his “Ultradome” series to MSN’s Parallel Universe website. He just tweeted the link for the trailer and it seems like cheesy, campy fun. The concept behind the series is watching some of your favorite film and movie characters fight in an “Ultradome” (get it?).

Milo can be seen in the trailer at the :03 mark. It can’t be embedded, so click on through to Parallel Universe to have a peek. The series will premiere its first episode on January 25, 2010.

Milo Ventimiglia's "Ultradome" Gets Picked Up By MSN

While we mostly know him as Jess from Gilmore Girls, Peter Petrelli from Heroes, or as the guy who broke the hearts of starlets, Milo Ventimiglia has also been getting behind the scenes and producing his own work. Earlier this year, he made a PSA with his Heroes co-star Masi Oka, and he owns a production company, Divide Pictures. Divide just announced that their web-series, “Ultradome,” has been picked up for distribution by MSN and will premiere in January 2010. Milo will serve as executive producer. The series will be featured on MSN’s “Comic-Con” related website Parallel Universe. Here’s how Tubefilter describes the series:

“The program pits comic and sci-fi fanboys against one another in a virtual octagon, where two individuals debate timeless topics like, “Would Harry Potter or Neo win in a fight?” and “Who’s the cooler vampire? Count Chocula or Lestat?”

Milo Ventimiglia Directs Short Film

If you watched Heroes last night, you may have noticed that there was a short film directed by Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia (Jess on Gilmore Girls). It’s part of a project sponsored by Liberty Mutual (an insurance company) and will feature 4 more short films shot by other NBC stars, including Jack McBrayer of 30 Rock and Anthony Anderson of Law and Order.

All of the shorts have a theme of personal responsibility and answer the question “What does personal responsibility mean to you?” Milo’s video features his Heroes co-star Masi Oka, who plays a man “who’s kindness goes un-rewarded until the end.”

"Heroes" Season 4 Review So Far

Ah, Heroes. As much as I love Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls), I’m pretty tempted to stop watching this show. Wow, way to not start off the season well! I’ve been pretty generous with this series so far – giving it multiple chances last season to get back my attention. Sometimes it did. I liked the character development. But this season, in attempting to “redeem” itself (so ironic given the Chapter is also Redemption), Heroes has introduced *way too many* new characters and I’m… not captivated.

We’re currently 4 episodes into the season and not much has happened. We’re still playing catch-up, it seems, with what all the characters (both old and new) are trying to achieve with their lives. Sometimes it’s boring (like with Claire – seriously seriously boring) and sometimes it’s repetitive (like with Hiro, played by Masi Oka who had a single guest-star appearance on Gilmore Girls ). But I can’t say there’s a single story-line I actually like right now. That’s not a good thing. Sure, I feel really sorry for Hiro. And everyone is struggling. But it feels so slow to me – what do you think?

The only thing that really captured my interest was the cliffhanger at the end of Monday’s episode, “Acceptance”, but at the same time… really? Isn’t that just re-using the same old plot line again?

In the next episode, “Hysterical Blindness”, we see Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) trying to connect with Emma, the deaf girl who could “see” sounds in a recent episode. Rumor has it she’ll be Peter’s new love interest. Otherwise, the episode is just dealing with more of the same, though with a lot more Sylar coming up in the next two episodes. I was glad to see, however, that in episode 6, “Tabula Rasa”, Peter and HRG are trying to find someone to cure Hiro. Cause the show would kind of be lame without Hiro, don’t you think?

What’s your assessment of Heroes so far this season? Are you going to continue to watch it?

Milo Ventimiglia Has a New Girlfriend?

Some new photos came out today showing Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) out with Jaimie Alexander, whom he’s rumored now to be dating (see pics here). Jaimie Alexander is an actress probably best known for her role on Kyle XY. Of course, at this point the coupling is just a rumor! They could just be friends.

Like previous girlfriends, Alexis Bledel and Hayden Panettiere, Jaimie is younger than Milo (25 to his 32).

Milo Ventimiglia at Fashion's Night Out

Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) took a break from filming Heroes to go to New York for Fashion Week. He was spotted on September 10th at Bergdorf Goodman’s Fashion’s Night Out.

The event was meant to bring fun back to fashion. Over 700 retailers and designers in New York opened late with creative customer experiences.

"Heroes" Season 4 Photos

Milo Ventimiglia will soon be returning to television in the Season 4 / Chapter 5: Redemption premiere of Heroes, which will premiere on September 21st on NBC. The first episode of the season is called “Orientation”, but it’s followed up immediately by a new episode in this 2 hour premiere event.

The second episode, “Jump, Push, Fall”, debuts a new carnival clan whose intentions are unknown but seem to be focused towards our familiar Heroes. Meanwhile, our favorite characters, including Peter Petrelli (Milo), try to adjust to new stages in their lives. For Peter, this includes doing “good” by helping as a paramedic.

Meanwhile, I also have some new photos of Masi Oka, who plays Hiro in Heroes and guest starred on Gilmore Girls. His character is continuing his quest with Ando to help people by promoting their abilities.

Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on September 3rd to talk about his new movie, Gamer.

Milo and Jimmy have good chemistry in the interview, it flows very smoothly. After a couple of minutes of banter, Milo pulls out his iPhone for all his twitter followers suggestions about what to talk about.

After that, Milo talks about Heroes and the “exciting and terrifying” fans that love the show. They talk about Gamer closer to 5 minutes in the interview, saying that his character, Rick Rape, is the “comic relief” in the movie. After that, Milo talks about his USO visits and how he almost fell out of a black hawk.

"Armored" Out December 4, 2009

Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls) stars in the upcoming film Armored. The film was originally going to release this September, but now has a release date for December 4, 2009.

The crime thriller follows a crew of officers at an armored transport security firm who attempt to heist their own company and its $42 million cargo. Their “fool-proof” plan encounters an unexpected witness and all bets are off. Amored was directed by Nimrod Antal and co-stars Matt Dillon, Jean Reno, Laurence Fishburne, Amaury Nolasco, Fred Ward and Skeet Ulrich. Milo Ventimiglia plays the cop that gets shot.

A second trailer has just been released for the film, though the trailer is very similar for the first two minutes. The new trailer, shown first below, shows more scenes with Milo! For comparison, both trailers are shown in this post:

"Heroes" Season 4 Trailer

Milo Ventimiglia will soon be returning to television in the Season 4 / Chapter 5: Redemption premiere of Heroes, which will premiere on September 21st on NBC. As we saw in earlier photos, Milo’s character, Peter, has returned to work as a paramedic, attempting to live life as Mr. Regular Guy and to be a hero by saving one life at a time. This season Peter will get a new love interest, and Milo says we’ll see Peter with a sense of humor again.

As you can see in the new trailer, it looks to be a dramatic season premiere with each character trying to find his or her own redemption.
