YACHT CD Release at Santos and More

YACHT has a new album coming out today called See Mystery Lights and to celebrate he will be at Santos Party House tonight (Tuesday) with Special Disco Version (DJ’s James Murphy & Pat Mahoney) and Bad Brilliance. Tickets are still on sale.

Siren Festival Returns to Coney Island!

Everyone thought last year was the last, but the Village Voice has announced that the Siren Festival will return to Coney Island this summer! The free festival, although plagued by crowds and crappy sound, is still a favorite New York tradition of many. Who can turn down free music at Coney Island?? CMJ Schedule
CMJ starts next week and there is going to be a ton of stuff going on. You don’t need a badge to get into a lot of stuff, but you will need to buy tickets in advance for some. This is by no means a definitive list, but more a list of stuff I’m excited for!

CMJ Announces Initial Lineup
High Places @ Pitchfork Music Festival
CMJ, the annual music conference in New York akin to SXSW in Austin, has announced its initial lineup, which includes some previously announced shows. You can usually buy tickets to individual shows, or get a badge and hope to get in. If you register by August 19 you get 15% off the “all-access” badge (but sometimes the badge can’t get you in to certain shows anyway…). Here’s the lineup so far:
