NYU’s 2009 Strawberry Festival, which is a free outdoor show open to the public, has announced their lineup:

It’s from 12-4 pm on May 1 and takes place near Washington Square Park at 566 La Guardia Place (between Washington Square South and West 3rd)

Northside Festival Include Dodos, Sunset Rubdown, Motel Motel and More
A new NYC festival has been announced. It sounds similar to CMJ, but has a much narrower area focus: Williamsburg and Greenpoint in Brooklyn. The Northside Festival, produced by L Magazine, will take place June 11-14 and will encompass all or most of the shows happening in Williamsburg and Greenpoint during that time. Motel Motel Added to Phosphorescent Show

One of my favorite new bands, Motel Motel (read my interview with them here) have been added to the Phosphorescent show at the Bell House in Brooklyn on February 28. That’s the one where Phosphorescent will be his new album To Willie from beginning to end, which is all Willie Nelson cover songs. Mike Bones will also be there and tickets are still on sale…. More »

Motel Motel Interview
One of Brooklyn’s up and coming bands, Motel Motel, have a busy schedule ahead of them.
