Arielle Kebbel at “Capitalism: A Love Story” Premiere
Arielle Kebbel (Lindsay Lister then Forester) attended the premiere of the new Michael Moore documentary, Capitalism: A Love Story, held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences on September 15th. The new documentary looks at the “root causes of the global economic meltdown and takes a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans that culminated in what Moore has described as the biggest robbery in the history…” The film has a limited release on September 23rd.

Scott Cohen at “Love and Other Impossible Pursuits” Premiere
Scott Cohen (Max Medina on Gilmore Girls) appeared last night at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) premiere and press conference for his upcoming film, Love and Other Impossible Pursuits (aka 17 Photos of Isabel). Scott co-stars in the film with Natalie Portman and Lisa Kudrow.

Adam Brody at “Jennifer’s Body” Premiere
Adam Brody (Dave Rygalski on Gilmore Girls) stars in the horror film Jennifer’s Body, which comes out September 18, 2009. The film premiered last night at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Canada, with much of the cast on hand to celebrate:

Krysten Ritter to star in “Woke Up Dead”
Krysten Ritter (Lucy on Gilmore Girls) will star in the new web series Woke Up Dead. The series is being produced by Napoleon Dynamite star Jon Heder, who will also star in the series. The series follows Heder as Drex, a USC student who wakes up underwater in his bath and suspects he may be dead. The series “plays with the conventions of the zombie-horror genre.” Though he craves eating brains, Drex doesn’t believe he’s a zombie.

Scout Taylor-Compton, who starred in 4 episodes of Gilmore Girls as Clara Forester, is all grown up! She’s a far cry now from the little girl who played Dean’s sister, that’s for sure! Krysten Ritter (Lucy on Gilmore Girls) hit up the LA premiere of Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest comedy, Brüno. The film focuses on Brüno, a “flamboyant Austrian fashionista” who takes his show to America.
The film had to make a last-minute cut before the premiere last night to remove a “tasteless scene” about Michael Jackson, following the news of the pop icon’s death.

Vanessa Marano (April Nardini on Gilmore Girls) stars in Dear Lemon Lima, which will be premiering a the LA Film Festival on June 20th.
We described the film earlier this year, and I’m glad to see it’s making its debut! Dear Lemon Lima is one of 7 narrative films chosen to be in competition at the 2009 LA Film Festival.

Arielle Kebbel (Lindsay Lister then Forester on Gilmore Girls) attended the LA premiere of the new comic-to-film Watchmen last night at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Arielle’s movie, The Uninivted, opened in January at #3 at the weekend box office. It has grossed over $24 million since it opened. Arielle has 3 other movies scheduled to come out this year – stay tuned!
