]]> Hilary Duff went out last night to a new event, a screening of The Invention of Lying held at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in NY as part of the New York Comedy Festival. The movie doesn’t star any of Hilary’s close friends, from what I can tell, so she must just think it’s a good movie to see!

Also a big round of applause for GLSEN for winning the MySpace Impact Award – if you recall, Hilary Duff worked with them on the ThinkB4YouSpeak campaign.

]]> Hilary Duff is back in New York City. She was seen out last night attending the Cinema Society and Salvatore Ferragamo screening of Two Lovers at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema. The romance movie stars Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow – it’s about a bachelor who is torn between pleasing his family and marrying the girl his parents want him to and his own desire for his beautiful but volatile new neighbor.

Joaquin recently announced his retirement from acting, though his announcement was somewhat distasteful. And I do have to point out that Hilary Duff looks far far better than poor Gwyneth did at the movie premiere!!
