Former Jersey Shore housemate Angelina Pivarnick tells Crushable that she’s moving on with a new reality show starring herself and two aquaintances.

“Jersey Shore won’t be there forever,” Angelina remarked on Tuesday, hours after ringing the bell at the New York Stock Exchange with Snooki and company.

Angelina – who we ran into at a “Free Lindsay Lohan” rally held at an NYC tanning salon – says the upcoming series will be televised on another network (not MTV).  She did not give further details, only teasing the project is “90%” hammered out and her co-stars will be two girlfriends of hers.

As for reports that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is becoming too big for his britches, Angelina told Crushable: “I’ve known Mike for years and he’s not the same guy he used to be.” And as for Snooki, “She’s another one … she’s also a diva.”

Clearly, Angelina isn’t leaving the Shore completely behind. On Thursday – the premiere of season two, wherein she walks out after the first two episodes – Angelina is throwing a celebration in her native Staten Island.

Exclusive: 'Jersey Shore' Alum Angelina Jumping To New Reality Show

A well-placed source tells Crushable that the Jersey Shore strike is over, and the cast will return to their sharehouse of debauchery for a third season with bigger paychecks.

An MTV representative for the show did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

At issue in strike: money. Cast members including The Situation were wary of signing on for a third season without the opportunity to negotiate for more money. The feeling was if they could earn more money making promotional appearances and clubs and parties, then why would they waste time filming three months of Jersey Shore for less? (Then again, no PR from Jersey Shore could equal tepid demand for club cameos, which MTV does not allow during production time). Another issue: respect. Why wouldn’t MTV pay them as much as they did Lauren Conrad? (That was $100,000 per episode of The Hills).

For the second season, premiering July 29 and set in Miami, each cast member earned $10K per episodes; there were 12 in total, so each made some $120,000 for the entire season.

No word yet on who’s making what. Rando question: If The Situation’s abs could make money, how much dough would they command?

UPDATE: MTV has issued a statement, saying the network “is pleased that the Jersey Shore cast are returning to Seaside Heights to continue production on season 3. Not only have they become a part of the MTV family, but fans worldwide have fallen in love with them.”

Source: 'Jersey Shore' Strike Is Over

The contract dispute rages between MTV and the Guidos and Guidettes of the Jersey Shore. The first footage of season three was to begin filming today, but some members of the cast are holding out for bigger paychecks.

A source close to the cast tells Crushable “nobody really knows” how things will proceed, but they do want to participate in the third season. It’s just that many housemates can make more money doing promotional appearances than they would filming the runaway hit MTV reality show. The source says MTV feels a “vested” ownership over the castmates, and will not allow the cast to make potentially lucrative cameos at clubs at parties while production on the show is in session.

The source says the network wanted the cast to continue on with the same contract they signed for the second season, which taped this past spring and is slated to premiere July 29. (A representative for MTV did not immediately respond to requests for comment.)

“They’re like, ‘We negotiated for season two – why wouldn’t we do that for season three?’” says the source, relaying the cast reaction.

Filming on the Shore for season three would last a period of two months, and that could translate into thousands of dollars lost making photo ops and capitalizing on their tremendous fame. Meanwhile, the crew sits waiting, TMZ reports.

“Some are holding out, some are broken off,” says the source, adding that The Situation is in talks to get a book deal.

At the moment, the cast nets between $10,000-$20,000 per promotional appearance (typically they show up at events and mingle with fans). Pauly D makes up to $20,000 for his DJ sets, while Vinny, Ronnie and JWOWW are at the lowest end of the totem pole, charging $10K per appearance. Each cast member makes $10,000 per episode of Jersey Shore, so counting in 12 episodes of the upcoming second season (which airs July 29), they’re making some $120,000 each in total.

“The Hills cast made $100,000 per episode, and they’ve blown The Hills out of the water” in the ratings, the source says.

It’s become a safe bet to wager that everyone on MTV’s Real World will couple off at some point. While the long-running show is nearly too old to be cast as a housemate (it’s in its 24 season!), the producers still know how to keep things interesting. Or, barring interesting, at least scandalous. The cast has been upped to an even eight, giving roommates even better odds at some on-camera action. Whitney and Ben kept a distance in public, but a number of adoring glances hinted that the relationship is going steady. We caught up with Whitney, who told us she’s unsure about the future of The City, but assured us her fashion line is doing well.

“I only see the episodes a day before you guys so I don’t exactly know what they’re going to entail,” Whitney told Crushable. As for a new season of the show? “I’m not sure yet, it’s still up in the air,” she told us.

Career-wise, Whitney told us she’s working on a collection with Piperlime that will be featured on RueLaLa and is in the midst of designing her Spring 2011 collection. She’s also planning to head to Liberia later this Summer to design handmade t-shirts that will be produced by Liberian women, in the hopes of helping to boost local economies.

While The City’s future remains uncertain, things look bright for Ben’s show, The Buried Life, in which four Canadian friends travel in a purple school bus, attempting to complete their bucket list of “things you want to do before you die.” “We’re filming season two right now so there are 10 new list items and they’re just totally outrageous, doesn’t matter who you are; they’re impossible to do,” Ben told Crushable. Despite having cameras following them, Ben said MTV doesn’t help the boys complete the items on their list. “We got offered a TV show in 2007 but we turned it down because they weren’t going to give us creative control. Then MTV came back to us and they were like, you guys can be executive producers and you guys can make it, so that’s what we did.”

While the crowd was psyched to see some of their favorite reality stars, the soccer stud in the house undoubtedly stole the show. Fresh off the plane from South Africa, Landon surprised guests at MTV after having filmed an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. Reflecting on his epic game winning goal against Algeria, Landon told the crowd: “I’ve played this game for a long time so that play has happened for me somewhere along the line before. It wasn’t something that I thought about. It wasn’t something that was preconceived. It just happened, out of nothing. The play came and it happened and we scored and we won.”

And we swooned. And then we remembered that awkward, uh, love-child scandal.

Are You Ready For A New Season Of 'Teen Mom'?

Our source tells us the shoot will also be part of the taping of an episode of MTV’s The City, and that the show’s nemeses — Olivia Palermo and Erin Kaplan, head of publicity at Elle – will be in the Bahamas to witness the Bieber-Kardashian action. “They hate each other” on and off screen, the source says of Olivia and Erin.

As for Justin and Kim, they go way back …. to last month’s White House Correspondents Dinner in Washington. That’s where they met, and Justin immediately posted a picture of himself with Kim on his Twitter. Bieber fans sounded off and began threatening Kim, after which the pop sensation was forced to soothe them, tweeting: “ladies calm down. … no need 4 threats. Let’s all be friends and hang out often.”

A wise one, that Biebs. Our source does not yet know the details behind the photoshoot — only that Justin and Kim are involved, together.

Scenarios are swimming in our head: Will Kim play the cougar to Justin’s jailbait? Will Justin woo Kim like he did Tina Fey in this Saturday Night Live sketch? How is Justin Bieber seemingly everywhere all at once? Kim too!

First of all, we’ve seen most, if not all of this, before. The skinny, nerdy R.J. (Paul Iacono) is a typical high school misfit with a passion for anime, dragons and all things generally uncool. Think Napoleon Dynamite meets Michael Cera meets McLovin. R.J’s bromance with his chubby best friend Miles (Jareb Dauplaise) seems like a Superbad ripoff, but Miles is nowhere near as endearing a wingman as Jonah Hill.

Aside from being mostly unfunny, some scenes just make you want to cringe. Like when R.J.’s mother walks in on him with a bottle of lotion, tissues and a drawing of an anime chick (you get the idea) and hovers over him for a minute or so before realizing what was going on under the covers. Oh, and then she recounts the story at a dinner party! While R.J. is still sort of in the room!

And finally, the show is kind of racist! When R.J. recounts his exploits with a Japanese girl at school, Miles tells him “the Japanese mouth isn’t designed to handle that kind of size” and then makes an off-color joke about egg rolls. First of all, ew. And second, we’re pretty sure egg rolls are typically a Chinese food, not Japanese.

The central theme of the show, of course, is that R.J. is lucky below the belt in a “you know what they say about big feet” kind of way. There should be lots to work with here comically, but the writing left something to be desired. For example, when R.J. scores an invite to an “it” girl’s pool party, a fellow partygoer asks him to help her pump the keg. When he’s too weak to do it, she smirks, “Why don’t you push it with your dick?” Huh? Is that really the best you can do, MTV?

Finally, though R.J. proclaims himself a skinny, pale nerd — we think he’s totally cute! And we suspect lots of girls do too.

Maybe MTV, which we laud for its sickeningly addictive reality shows, should stick to what it knows and continue to bask in all that unscripted glory.
