Shiloh calls Brad Pitt “dada”?

Shiloh calls Brad Pitt "dada"?

I don’t put a lot of faith in the National Ledger site but they’re reporting that allegedly Shiloh spoke her first word at ten months old.

It appears that baby Shiloh is daddy’s little girl. The insider tells the weekly entertainment magazine that the baby blurted out “dada” to celeb ‘father of the year’ Brad Pitt.

They’re debating whether it could be a false story because she’s so young, but my oldest daughter started talking at ten months too (and hasn’t… More »

Angelina Jolie and Mia Farrow are shining examples

Angelina Jolie and Mia Farrow are shining examples

USA Today has a great article up comparing Angelina Jolie and Mia Farrow. It’s a perfect example of what great women they both are and it’s very inspiring.

The article shows that both women have famous roots starting with their parents, both have been awarded for their acting work, and both have had in-the-spotlight relationships. However, the biggest common thread is their work for third world countries and their desire to adopt children from impoverished areas of the world…. More »

The likely reason Angelina Jolie is adopting without Brad Pitt

The likely reason Angelina Jolie is adopting without Brad Pitt

A quick trip around the Internet will show you there’s more speculation and gossip online than any high school ever had. Everyone is chattering and creating hooplah because of the announcement that Angelina is filing adoption papers in Vietnam as a single parent instead of jointly with Brad Pitt. The common reaction is that “clearly” their relationship is about to fall apart.

Everyone eager to gossip monger could avoid giving themselves an aneurysm if they’d do their homework. … More »

By the way… hi!

By the way... hi!

I thought everyone would like to know that I’m the new blogger here at Pittwatch! My name (as you probably already noticed) is Sherry, and I’m thrilled to be here writing for all the Brad and Angelina fans out there. I’m an Angie fan first and foremost, she’s my favorite actress and I find her to be an incredible humanitarian and I love seeing her as a mother too. I’ve also been a Brad Pitt fan for… More »

Snark, Angelina and Anderson

Snark, Angelina and Anderson

Check out this bizarre little article by Debra J. Saunders at the Jewish World Review. It starts out quite snarky, moves to compassionate and ends with this:

I like Jolie’s message of hope. Celebrity interviews often emit a vampire-like quality, as breathless interviewers feed on stars’ personal tragedies and setbacks and the celebrity-victim comes across as the latest pouty facelift with a story that says, “Poor me.”

For Jolie, the focus is on the truly poor, and the many things Americans… More »

Jennifer, on Brad

Jennifer, on Brad

In an interview conducted with the Britain paper, News of the World, Jennifer Aniston sounds to me for the first time like she has had some closure. I sure hope so, she deserves the best. I don’t talk about her much, simply because it incites so many peoples emotions, but I do feel her pain and I know how hard it must have been for her to get to a good place with all of this – and… More »

Opinions on Shiloh, Brangelina and Ridiculous Press Releases

Opinions on Shiloh, Brangelina and Ridiculous Press Releases

This is a hoot. I am going to admit right now that I lean towards the conservative side politically speaking – but let me just say, I totally agree with the opinions in this piece. This woman is out of her mind and needs to get a life. After all, do we even know that Brad and Angelina aren’t married?

This might stir you up – if you don’t want to be stirred, don’t read… More »

The Sharks are Lurking at Brad and Angelina’s Malibu Home

The Sharks are Lurking at Brad and Angelina's Malibu Home

Another sad paparazzi story – the paps are interviewed as they have taken their semi permanent positions outside of Brad and Angelina’s Malibu home. I really don’t know what to say about this, I just read this article and shake my head. Here is a blurb of it, from NEWS.com.au, be sure and read the rest:

The Malibu paparazzi insist they are doing no wrong greater than giving people what they want.

“We’re really not a bad bunch,” said one… More »

Harry Smith on Brangelina’s Good Works

Harry Smith on Brangelina's Good Works

This is extremely nice to see – CBS’s Harry Smith has a short and lovely commentary supporting Brad and Angelina and the way that they have taken their extreme fame and funneled the energy towards good causes. I would be so happy to see more articles like this – I think we will as time goes on. What do you think?… More »

Brad Pitt is the Best Dad!

Brad Pitt is the Best Dad!

This is quite a weird story too – I guess we are some kind of desperate for Jolie-Pitt news at this point, but I have read several reports that Brad has topped a Life & Style (yeah, I know…LOL) “poll” for Best Dad. But, accompanying this info is always this quote about how the editor chose Brad. Is this a poll, or is this an editors pick? Anyway, at the heart of the matter, it just doesn’t… More »

The Press no gusta Brangelina

The Press no gusta Brangelina

Methinks the press is fed up with Brad and Angelina. The desperate scrapings of news have slowed way down and the National Ledger is trying to bring Brangelina down to TomKat crazy status, but that doesn’t work for me. I can only think of one or two people that are as crazy as Tom Cruise, and Brad and Angelina are nowhere near.

Go Brad and Angelina and go Mickey!

The Role that Changed Angelina’s Life

The Role that Changed Angelina's Life

This article was submitted to me over the weekend – thought you might enjoy it:
Incredibly filmed, with sweeping views of Namibia Africa as the initial backdrop… If you have not seen it, it’s difficult to watch. Touted as a “Love-Story” it is so much more than that. Set on several continents, Beyond Borders is a rough look into the realities of war, famine and disease ravaged countries in dire need of the humanitarian relief work depicted in this… More »

The name and life of the future Jolie-Pitt child

The name and life of the future Jolie-Pitt child

I am not exactly sure what is happening here, but I believe the readers of New Statesman are having a competition revolving around the names/lifes of celebrity children. Here is the entry we might be interested in (I am not quite sure if we are or not…sounds a bit dull…LOL):

Guadalajara Jolie-Pitt 2007-2095.

Born in Mexico in 2007, Guadalajara Jolie-Pitt spent his early years in Bel Air living the highly charged life of the celeb child. He was a page-boy, along… More »

BrangelinaFans telling it like it is! Way to go!

At the risk of stirring up some stuff I don’t generally like to stir, GossipFan at BrangelinaFans wrote a very eloquent article yesterday about the “nuttiness” of some “fans” (and that puts it mildly):

In the roughly 8 months of my paying closer attention to Brad and Angelina as a couple, I have witnessed the development on the internet of some trollish behavior that would make a psychiatrist a millionaire in writing about this topic. It almost makes me ashamed to… More »

Chasing Angelina – The mind of the paparazzi

Chasing Angelina - The mind of the paparazzi

This article is from Bud Bultman, a CNN producer, and I assume a producer of Chasing Angelina which is to air this weekend.

It’s that prospect of snagging a big-money photo that has the paparazzi desperately seeking Angelina. Which is one of the reasons shutterbug Ben is tailing the A-list actress — and cursing when she runs the red light in front of him. He runs the light as well.
So there we are — finally catching up with Angelina… More »

Angelina’s Good Works

Angelina's Good Works

Catherine just pointed me to this wonderful article about Angelina which showcases her human side and all of the good work she has done. From the Sunday Tribune:

She works tirelessly, hands on and feet in the mud for the United Nations, and is its greatest ambassador since Audrey Hepburn.
She adopted Maddox in 2001 from Cambodia, while she was researching the part of an Aid worker for Beyond Borders. She adopted Zahara from Ethiopia last year.

Celebrity Obsession

Celebrity Obsession

This is from another opinion editorial by Pulitzer Prize winner Leonard Pitts, Jr. at The Southern Illinoisan:

But the camera crews soldier determinedly on, even following the family to the local KFC because, you know, inquiring minds want to know what they had for lunch. One imagines some loser with a Nikon staking out a chicken joint and phoning in urgent bulletins by satellite phone. (“It looks like … yes! Brad’s going with the hot & spicy, and we have now… More »

Angelina is nesting

Angelina is nesting

JLS just sent me this link, from Pugbus, analyzing Angelina’s nesting instinct:

“We see this sort of compulsive activity all the time,” said National Geographic’s science editor, E. Trevor Hollins. “Near the start of the last month of pregnancy, females generally begin to investigate remote beaches, luxury lodges, and even tiny cabanas in search of a nesting place. Or you may find them, as we regularly found one of our daughters, trying to burrow under the pillows on a large sectional… More »

PittWatch Readers React:

Belle has put this topic up for discussion (edited just a bit):
