Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Helps Build First Home!
Less than one year after announcing the start-up of Brad Pitt’s Make It Right campaign in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward the first Global Green house has been built. That is awesome! It’s the first post-Katrina home to go up in the area and was made with environmentally sustainable materials. This first house will also serve as a model home and visitors’ center while the other homes are being built.

More Angelina Jolie & Kids Photos
There are more photos of Angelina Jolie, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh (plus whoever that is inside Angie’s belly, hee!) when they went to the store for a walk this past weekend, you must see them.
Shiloh appears to have been crying after falling down and hurting herself. Ah, that fun age where they constantly get scrapes and bumps!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Make It Right
On Sunday, Angelina Jolie joined Brad Pitt in New Orleans where Brad proudly got the Make It Right project underway in collaboration with Bill Clinton’s group, the Clinton Global Initiative.
They also took the time to pose for photos with some of the local residents, and signed autographs.
It sounds like Brad is very hopeful about getting things moving. He said:

Brad Pitt’s Prototype Housing
I thought this was really interesting. While surfing around, I found someone who went to see the Make It Right area in New Orleans, checking out the pink houses. They also had an exhibit showing some possible prototypes for the houses that could be built in the Lower 9th Ward and she took pictures – see them all here.

Just to keep you up to date, today I checked in on Brad Pitt’s Make It Right Campaign over on the official site.

Brace yourself, the rumor will run rampant again – because Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were seen shopping at Pippen Lane, a baby store in New Orleans. Since Shiloh’s not even two, it’s more than likely that they were shopping for something for her since many baby stores and baby departments still sell up to at least 24 month sizes, as well as furnishings for that age group.

The Jolie-Pitt Christmas outing

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie took Maddox, Pax, and Zahara for a little outing on Boxing day. First they stopped to grab a bite at McDonalds, then the five Jolie-Pitts went to see The Waterhorse together. They spent a nice quiet holiday in New Orleans.
I love that they went to Mickey D’s like any old regular family!

A Jolie-Pitt Christmas
People.com has a little write-up about Brad Pitt discussing Christmas on Live With Regis and Kelly. Apparently Brad said he likes helicopters as far as toys are concerned so he’s going to try to convince the kids about how fun they are.

First of all, apparently the bike ride that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie enjoyed with Maddox, Pax, and Zahara was so much fun, they decided to go out for another ride.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt help NOLA children
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are continuing to do good for New Orleans. On Saturday they helped to bring much-needed attention to the Children’s Health Fund for the benefit of over 46,000 children who are still displaced from their destroyed homes more than two years after the hurricanes ripped through NOLA.
Angelina Jolie spoke at a news conference saying:
“This is the largest displacement of children in my own country so I want to learn as much as possible.”

After all the photos of Brad Pitt on his motorcycle, it was a surprise – a pleasant one! – to see photos of Brad and Angelina on a bike ride. Brad had Pax Jolie-Pitt in a seat behind him, and his bike towed a little sidecar type of trailer with Maddox Jolie-Pitt in it. Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie had Zahara Jolie-Pitt in a seat behind her. The five Jolie-Pitts rode around New Orleans on Brad’s 44th birthday.

Brad Pitt in New Orleans
According to the NOLA blog, Brad Pitt is visiting New Orleans; on Monday at 11 am, Brad will launch his “Make It Right” project. The campaign aims to create over a hundred homes which will be affordable, sustainable, and ecological. At the moment, pink house-shaped pieces stand in the area where the real homes will soon stand.
Back in early November, Brad pledged $5 million and urged other to do the same.

Brad Pitt to continue rebuilding NOLA
While at the Clinton Global Initiative yesterday, Brad Pitt announced plans to build a new community of homes, continuing to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans. The objective is to create 150 low-cost sustainable homes. Both Brad Pitt and real estate developer Steve Bing have each pledged $5 million in contributions to the “Make It Right” project.

He says that his dream is to make energy bills disappear and that it’s not as outlandish as it sounds (though the big heads of energy corporations might be upset by that!).

Brad Pitt’s Green Work
It turns out that Brad Pitt is in New Orleans for a very good cause. Brad is busy overlooking Global Green’s sustainable low-income housing project. A special celebration is planned for the completion of the project, so Brad stopped by to check it all out.
New Orleans was hit hard by Katrina two years ago but this neighborhood in particular, the Lower Ninth Ward, was completely devastated by the hurricane and has needed total rebuilding from the ground up.
