Girlhero Amy Poehler graces the cover of NY Magazine this month, and her accompanying photo spread features several images that parody the horrendous trend of Photoshopping women into unrecognizable blobs of plastic. Ricky Van Veen Laughs At Fallen-Down Cyclist – That, and much more in this 3-page profile of ‘Can the Internet Make TV Funny Again?‘ (New York Mag)
Last night at the James hotel, Interview Magazine and James Franco — two of the most overexposed entities in “culture” — joined together to promote Palo Alto, the collection of short stories by James that he wrote while earning one of his 1,000 degrees. In its cover story this week, New York magazine declares that Christina Hendricks “finds talk of her body boring.” So, naturally, they wrote an entire article about it.
Gorgeous photos aside (and really, how hard is it to take gorgeous photos of a gorgeous woman?), it was interesting to learn that Christina, like a lot of the rest of us, was ignorant of the fact that showbiz people consider her “bigger” than the Hollywood norm (i.e. fat, according to the New… More »
