E! Covers Hilary Duff on “Gossip Girl”

E! covered the fab news that Hilary Duff was cast for a guest arc (that means multiple episodes) on CW’s hit series Gossip Girl.

Hilary Duff will play Olivia Burke on Gossip Girl, a movie star who enrols at NYU in order to have a ‘traditional college experience.’ She’ll room with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr), and will start dating Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley)!

Hilary Duff’s first appearance on the series will be in the fourth episode, slated to air on October 5, 2009.

Meghan McCain Thinks Hilary Duff Should Play Her

Meghan McCain, daughter of US Presidential candidate Senator John McCain, apparently wants Hilary Duff to play her in any future movie roles! The NY Daily News has Meghan quoted as saying, “I want Hilary Duff to play me. I think she’s really hot – hotter than me – but I’d still want her to play me.”

Of course, whether or not there will even be a movie about the Presidential race is still up in the air. Considering, however, how popular those movies are, I’m thinking we’ll see at least one in the years to come. In this case, Meghan is hoping the movie will be based on a book she’s currently in the process of writing.

Who knows, maybe Hilary Duff will play Meghan McCain, though honestly that sounds like a boring role ;)

E! Covers Hilary Duff on “Ghost Whisperer”

E! News put out a minute-long segment about Hilary Duff’s upcoming guest appearance on Ghost Whisperer in which Hilary will play a “beautiful woman of mystery” named Morgan Jefferies.

As we’ve described here, this episode of Ghost Whisperer (which stars Jennifer Love Hewitt) will air on April 10th, 2009. Since very little is known about the role, and guest appearances are not uncommon with tv series any longer, it’s quite a big step for E! to create a full minute in talking about the guest spot with so little known. Great exposure for Hilary!

They also talk about Hilary Duff’s as-yet-not-100% confirmed NBC comedy, Barely Legal.

Hilary Duff Loves Sushi

According to People.com, Hilary Duff and sister Haylie Duff spent some quality time in New York at Sushisamba, eating yellowtail tiradito, palmito salad and sea bass anticucho. Yum!! According to the report, Hilary was given a private tour of the kitchen and was escorted to her table by the executive chef!! Speaking of New York, here’s a photo of Hilary and her dogs in New York with Mike Comrie from back in November:

Hilary Duff in Fort Wayne – Video

As you know from the last post about this, Hilary Duff visted Fort Wayne this week as part of the Blessings in a Backpack program, of which Hilary Duff is a big supporter. Aside from the charity work she does for them, Hilary really helps to bring a face to this charity. The charity is all over the news because Hilary is a part of it – and that goes a long way to increasing the awareness of the issues of childhood hunger in America, as well as securing funding for the Blessings in a Backpack program.
