Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to Become Kids’ Authors?

Star Magazine is reporting that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and their publishing company are so impressed by how well their book Influence is doing, that they are looking at another authorship opportunity for the girls-this time in children’s books.

The idea is that MK and Ashley will pen a series of children’s books about a set of twins. Ashley would be in charge of overseeing the storyline and MK would be in charge of the illustrations.

I don’t believe this rumor for a second. The market for Influence and for kids’ books are very, very difference. Influence made a lot of sense for MK and Ashley to do as a project-it ties in well with their current fashion projects. How would doing a series of children’s books fit into their new branding?

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen are Hollywood Pinups

Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are two of several celebrities who posed as a Hollywood pinup girl for photographer Timothy White’s new book Hollywood Pinup. The book features several celebrity starlets dressed as ’50s and ’60s pinup girls.

Other celebs who posed for the book include Angie Harmon, Cindy Crawford, Denise Richards, Felicity Huffman, Jennifer Morrison, Kate Hudson, Kate Walsh, and Lauren Graham.

Influence Book Signing in NYC

Mary-Kate and Ashley will be signing copies ofInfluence on October 28 at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square in New York City. October 28 is the day that Influence is released!
