From the cat-eye makeup to the side-bang on her beehive, Eva Mendes — shooting the French film Holly Motors in Paris — looks a lot like Amy Winehouse. Could she be playing a variation on the tragic singer in the film? More »
A photographer snapped this shot of Jason Bateman kissing costar Olivia Wilde while shooting The Longest Week in New York City. And I have to say, good for them!
One of my biggest complaints about The Change-Up was that Jason’s character never got to enjoy being stuck in Ryan Reynolds‘ body; he was so neutered by marriage that he wouldn’t even have a fling with his assistant, played by Olivia Wilde. What’s meant to be a redeeming moment comes off as disappointing. More »
Last week, Vanity Fair released a huge cast photo of Josh Hutcherson, Leven Rambin, and the other young “tributes” who fight to the death in The Hunger Games. And even though it was fantastic to see the movie’s main cast all together, we couldn’t help but miss the older actors who weren’t included: namely, Elizabeth Banks and Stanley Tucci, who play members of the series’ image-obsessed Capitol. If the Hunger Games themselves are a commentary on reality TV, then the Capitol is a commentary on plastic surgery and eternally youthful Hollywood. More »
Watch how a shirtless Taylor Lautner scene gets made… plus, now we have an idea what the scene where Bella gives birth looks like. More »
Here’s a story that starts out hilarious and gets ominous (but still bizarre) by the end: A SWAT team from Hungary’s Anti-Terrorism Unit raided a warehouse belonging to World War Z, Brad Pitt‘s zombie movie currently shooting in Budapest. More »
EW released the newest photos from The Brothers Grimm: Snow White – starring Lily Collins and Armie Hammer – today, and while they’re very pretty, we can’t tell who the intended audience is. Compared to Kristen Stewart‘s gritty reimagining Snow White and the Huntsman, this movie has bright colors and over-the-top costumes. So is it just a live-action version of the 1937 Disney movie, or will it have sly jokes for people our age?

I know we all had a lackluster reaction to the first shots of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman on the set of The Dark Knight Rises, but this image of her costume will satisfy all the naysayers: It’s tight leather; it’s functional (zipper) but sexy (heels). Most importantly, she has ears! More »
What does a ghostly Ryan Reynolds look like, you ask? Why, just about the same as the living one—that is to say, cute and brooding in leather. More »
Wouldn’t this pic work great with “Everybody Was Kung-Fu Fighting” playing behind it? Comic Book Movie caught these great photos and videos from the set of The Avengers in Cleveland, OH. That’s Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Captain America (Chris Evans) goofing around while setting up a big fight scene with some strange ninjas. More »
More goodies from the set of Zack Snyder‘s Superman movie: Photographer Gregory Zonsius caught this video of Lois Lane, a.k.a. Amy Adams, visiting Clark Kent’s hometown of Smallville, Kansas yesterday. There’s no dialogue since a train was passing by, but it’s Lois stopping at a gas station, presumably to ask for directions to the Kent farm. Also — Amy didn’t dye her hair! More »
Thanks to Whedonesque (the premiere Joss Whedon fansite) for posting this great story from satirist Dave Rhodes. Although a lot of Dave’s writing is fictional, he’s started to post true stories from his various odd jobs, including taxi driver, sailor, and TV extra. For the latter, he was lucky enough to work on the last episode ever shot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. More »
Now is the time for some moviemaking magic: Marvel Studios has until August 15 to turn a stretch of downtown Ohio into Times Square. Yes, the one from New York City. Movieline reports that shooting of Joss Whedon‘s The Avengers begins then, presumably involving scenes where the superheroes meet at one of the S.H.I.E.L.D. offices in Manhattan. We’re guessing that shooting in NYC cost way too much, and Cleveland was a better choice for indoor scenes. It’s just ironic, since Captain America: The First Avenger managed to shoot in the real Times Square. More »
It’s only a matter of time before the Internet holds non-Photoshopped images of Henry Cavill wearing the Man of Steel’s suit. But until then, we’re very excited to see Cavill on-set looking quite the part as shy, unassuming reporter Clark Kent. (Even this isn’t him fully “suited up”: The Clark Kent we’re used to wears a jacket, hat, and of course, glasses.) More »
Before The Hunger Games, the state of North Carolina mostly dealt in overblown teen dramas: One Tree Hill shoots almost exclusively there, hiring college students (like Lilit’s sister!) to play extras as well as patronizing local businesses. One of those establishments? Pure Gold, a gentlemen’s club that has featured heavily in the show’s history. Every few seasons, there’s a plotline where the gang heads to the strip club, either to check out the entertainment or because they’re forced to take the stage themselves. Let’s review all of the underage, unclothed goodness. More »
It looks like Lionsgate is finally allowing set photos from The Hunger Games to be released to the public — or the studio is realizing that with social media and Twitter-ready fans camped out in North Carolina, there’s no use fighting this free publicity. Starcasm has a whole bunch of photos from the set, including Jennifer Lawrence in Katniss’ reaping dress and buildings dressed up to look like District 12.
But our favorite by far is Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins making her official cameo as a citizen of the Capitol. More »
Shia LaBeouf, what are you thinking? In an interview with Details, he acknowledged that he and Transformers co-star Megan Fox hooked up, and even justified it despite her committed relationship with now-husband Brian Austin Green. It makes for great press and makes my job easier — but Shia, what are you thinking? More »

Here is a video a fan of Gossip Girl took last week in New York during the filming of the 1920s party scenes:
You can see Hilary at just after 1 minutes into the video. She’s not wearing her gloves yet in the scene, but otherwise has the full outfit on.
Speaking of Gossip Girl, E! has an exclusive first-look image of Hilary Duff’s appearance as Olivia Burke in October 5th’s episode, “Dan de Fleurette.”… More »
It looks like the 1920s theme party was an elaborate scene to film! Hilary Duff was back in her flapper dress and hair for a second day of filming Gossip Girl yesterday at the Empire Hotel in New York. This time, we see her start off her day in cutoff jean shorts:
And check out the second-to-last image of Hilary talking on her phone while in her flapper dress – stunning!!
