Historically, models have not fared well as Dancing with the Stars contestants – they often lack the name recognition of actors or athletes. Though Paulina Porizkova and Josie Maran were not long for Dancing, it seemed like Czech supermodel Petra Nemcova had a chance of breaking the “model curse.” Because of her well-known story about surviving the Indian Ocean tsunami several years ago, she was able to connect with the audience and translate her story into a beautiful dance. Paulina Porizkova to Appear on As the World Turns
Everyone’s favorite ex-America’s Next Top Model judge Paulina Porizkova is taking her career in a new direction: acting! The former supermodel will have a guest role on the CBS soap As the World Turns. Paulina will be playing Clarissa, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Not much is known about the role or the character, but she’ll start appearing on the show on January 5th and her character has a mysterious past with Simon Frazier.

We watched Paulina Porizkova for a whole cycle now and I was wondering what everyone thought of her! While she’s definitely more vocal than her predecessor Twiggy, she’s no where near as outrageous as original Top Model judge Janice Dickinson.
