Not much is known about the role or the character, but she’ll start appearing on the show on January 5th and her character has a mysterious past with Simon Frazier.

This isn’t the first time Paulina’s dabbled in acting. She’s had roles in movies and television shows for years. Her last acting gig was the little-known 2004 movie Knots, which co-starred John Stamos.

While no longer being wanted is never fun, she became open to and excited by being a full-time mother again and being around for her children and husband in a way that Top Model didn’t allow:

When I was fired from “America’s Next Top Model” this past spring, two things hit me simultaneously: the heavy thud of realization that I am not wanted, not liked, not worth my salt, not loved–yes, I know this sounds a little over-the-top, but I have the tendency to run with the negatives–and the lightening of a burden lifted; I would no longer have to worry about missing my children’s recitals, date nights with my husband, and all that family life has to offer.

I have no idea if Paulina is going to become a regular correspondent for the Huffington Post (a lot of people, including ANTM alum Kim Stolx are) or if this post was a one time deal. “The current state of the economy has forced shows to make major budget cuts industry wide; and America’s Next Top Model is not immune to these financially challenging times. We’ve had to make significant cuts in every area of the production and, unfortunately, Paulina was a casualty of these cuts. Tyra, who pursued Paulina to join the show as a judge multiple times, was incredibly saddened by the decision the show was forced to make. We really enjoyed working with Paulina, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

What I’m waiting for is a statement from Tyra. Based on this statement, it sounds as though there will not be a replacement for Paulina in Cycle 13. Otherwise claiming she was a casualty of the recession is complete bull.

Paulina admits she thinks none of the finalists from this year’s cycle (or any cycle for that matter) will become true top models.

“I know. I’m really very sorry. But they’re not models,” she said. “Look at the history of Top Model. When has a winner not fallen down into that great big hole where the other sock goes? When? That’s because you can’t pick models from a TV show. Those tall, long giraffe things that don’t really look real are rare freaks of nature. And finding a freak of nature with a personality, that’s like finding a double freak of nature. So you’d have a TV show once every 10 years.”

Paulina admits that she voted for Allison and that the judges were tied at 2 votes apiece in the finale. One judge – she doesn’t say who – changed their vote so Teyona could be declared the winner.

She claims that Tyra was often very late for panel and this constantly threw off the shooting schedule and probably lead to the extra fat they were trying to get rid of when they fired Paulina.

The interview is interesting. Paulina does come across as bitter, but I don’t think she is. She’s simply calling it as she sees it. I bet Tyra is pissed over the whole situation.

We can recall that Janice Dickinson was fired from Top Model as well. Which leads me to wonder – was Twiggy fired too? And just too nice to say anything?

“Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles…because I am looking for a job,” Paulina tells Craig when she stops by. “Because I was fired by America’s Next Top Model on my birthday.”

Paulina says the reason she was fired was pretty vague. “The reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed that America’s Next Top Model has gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me,” she said.

She also mentions that the producers told her she has an ego problem, which contributed to her firing.

“So I figured it was either that or my gigantic huge ego. Which I wasn’t aware of until I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem,” she said.

Paulina and Craig have known each other a long time and her visits to his show are always filled with laughs. I guess I’ll have to watch tonight to see what happens. Paulina will reveal more about ANTM and her big phone conversation with the producers. I can’t believe they let her go on her birthday.

Paulina talks about what makes this cycle different. She was originally disappointed with the 13 girls Tyra and co selected. She thought they were very, very raw, even moreso than in previous cycles. She starts to come around how the girls evolve over the course of the show.

Paulina sticks around to help them pick their “Pix Top Model”, a fun take on ANTM to see how great Paulina’s judging skills actually are. The contestants don’t give Paulina much to work with though, but they have a good time.

“I think the success of the show has less to do with actual fashion and the fashion industry than the fact that it is a Cinderella show,” Paulina said. “What little girl doesn’t want to be Cinderella? Whether she is from the country or from the big city, every girl wants that. I think Tyra [Banks] very smartly realized that, and that’s what makes the show so popular.”

She goes on to say the fashion industry would not – and does not – want someone like Tyra dictating te next top model. But that doesn’t mean the show can’t make for great television and provide the winner with a launching pad for some type of fashion or entertainment career.

She chats about what qualities she looks for in contestants, Whitney Thompson, her love for Lauren, Nigel Barker, judging panel and more. She’s absolutely ruthless in her answers, just like she is in her critiques on the show.

As mean as she can be sometimes, I love Paulina. She’s the fresh face that the judging panel needed last season and I’m glad she stuck around for this cycle.

Former Calvin Klein model Bruce Hulse wrote a tell-all book about the behind-the-scenes exploits of the world’s biggest supermodels, including Elle Macpherson, Andie MacDowell, Tatjana Patitz, and ANTM judge Paulina Porizkova.

The book, titled Sex, Love and Fashion, is a “steamy memoir” recalling “days of tireless bed-hopping.”

The New York Post published a few teeny excerpts from the book today, including this diddy about Paulina:

“I arrived at Paulina’s hotel room . . . only to find her wearing next to nothing. I was doomed. Within seconds we were all over each other,” Hulse writes. “We completely tore up the hotel room.”

While I don’t about the truthfulness of Bruce’s claims (although they may be embellished quite a bit!), I think this is a skeezy way to cash in on other people’s fame.

The book, which is being published by Harmony Books, will be available in August.
