Olivia Munn poses for PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign, saying, “As a proud person of Chinese descent, it broke my heart to learn just how terribly animals suffer and die on Chinese fur farms and that there are no penalties for this abuse.” More »
Elisabetta Canalis — formerly of George Clooney‘s arm and soon of Dancing with the Stars — is the latest celeb to strip down and bare all in the name of animal rights. Who else has posed naked for PeTA? Just about everyone, it seems.

Is anyone surprised? More »
Celebuspawn Brooke Hogan is the latest in a long line of celebrities (using the term loosely) to get naked for ostensibly animal rights related reasons. In a complete and utter parody of itself, PeTA put on a benefit art show un-ironically titled “Women In Cages,” featuring (you guessed it) photos of naked women in cages. PeTA is nothing if not consistent.

Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar not only have 19 kids, they have a show (TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting) about it. A PETA chapter based near the Duggars’ home in Arkansas has proposed a plan to put up a billboard using a reference to the Duggars to encourage people to spay and neuter their pets. The billboard reads “Doggies Multiply Faster Than Duggars.” More »
Last night I bundled up and faced the dastardly winds currently attempting to blow NYC into the Atlantic to attend PETA’s Fashion Week party at the Stella McCartney store. It was over-the-top and ridiculous, of course! The first thing I overheard was an older man saying to his young, pretty companion: “Oh my god, you would loooooove Fashion Week. Everyone is so stylish!” Which made me realize the pair had no idea they were actually at Fashion Week, they just live full-time in a beautiful little bubble filled with thigh-high shoes and men in tuxedos thrusting platters of champagne into their faces. Glamour!
Tim Gunn was there, which made our night, even though he was ushered off backstage before we had a chance to talk* (*profess our love) to him. Also milling about were Lo Bosworth and Taraji Henson who stood next to her controversial naked PETA ad. There were so many funny things, you guys, but I didn’t have a camera, so I drew some pictures that I hope capture the spirit of the event. More »
PETA has posted an exclusive video on Buzzfeed of their NSFW Super Bowl spot, which means the pro-animal rights group created an ad that they knew was never going to air. What’s the point of that? Just to show the world how “controversial” you are? Anyway, the spot is an “outtakes parody” (the way The Simpsons: XXX is a parody) of the group’s 2009 Superbowl ad, Veggie Love. In it, bikini-clad women are oiled up and fellating vegetables. Just normal PETA stuff, you know. More »
Today in absurd celeb causes, Lea Michelle tackles the horse-drawn carriages of New York City — you know, the maybe 15 tourist-transporting carts you see hovering around the perimeter of Central Park. Lea teamed up with PETA to draw attention to this alleged carriage cruelty, a cause Alec Baldwin apparently supports as well. Choice quote: “They’re animals, they’re not cars.” More »
“Wow,” we thought when we read Bristol Palin‘s well-reasoned, thoughtful (no jk) response on Facebook this weekend. After Margaret Cho went public with news that her new best friendie Bristol Palin was forced into Dancing With The Stars by her mother, we expected an outraged rebuttal. After all, it doesn’t even really make sense: didn’t Bristol flaunt her short dresses and Sarah Palin-mocking outfits on the first episodes? More »
• Chad Ochocinco gets naked for PETA, but is still holding a leather football? Okay. (The Frisky)
• What kind of OCD trophy wife needs to stay awake during her breast implants? “No, I said a little more to the left! My left, you idiots!” (The Gloss)
• Kim Kardashian‘s ad for the Keep A Child Alive foundation is downright scary. You still look good Kim, get out of that coffin! (Buzzfeed)
• Fox makes it official: “Man goes blind from having sex.” We thought it was just masturbation that did that? (Fox News) More »
How long till PETA freaks out about this? British department store Selfridges has dyed 15 sheep a “Selfridges yellow” to promote both their brand and raise awareness for the shearing industry during London’s Wool Week. Okay? Basically, it just looks like Easter has come early. More »
PETA turned 30 this year, and the organization rang in its birthday with a gala chock full of stars. Lea Michelle, Kellan Lutz and Kelly Osbourne ditched their leather to hang around with the Joaquin and the Phoenix clan. We assume 50 Cent‘s invitation got lost in the mail. More »
Yesterday we brought you transmissions from 50 Cent via his dog Oprah, the black and white puppy with the broken foot. Since we last left the rapper, he’s posted a photo of himself pretending to stab the dog, pissed off the folks at PETA, and Tweeted more abusive things at Oprah (the canine).

Oh, Lady Gaga – didn’t anyone ever tell you not to wear meat after Labor Day? The pop singer is stirring up controversy yet again by appearing in a raw-steak bikini on the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan. (And somehow we’re not surprised to learn the photo was shot by Terry Richardson.) More »
Since this PETA ad is basically comparing Nadya Suleman to an unspayed dog, you’d think the Octomom wouldn’t personally endorse the blatant misogyny that rules over at the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organization. Then again, they’ve offered her $5,000 to keep this sign on her front door, as well as free Boca burgers and vegan hot dogs…for life…. More »
If you’ve been wondering what Kelis has been up to since that milkshake song, turns out she has been flaunting her Cruella DeVille-inspired wardrobe and telling the people at PETA to go eff themselves. Which is actually pretty funny, especially when she tells MTV “I’d cover her walls with fur if I could.” Um, you’re a celebrity, what else are you supposed to do with your money except buy polar bear fur-lined wallpaper?
Kelis – MTV Shows… More »
PETA may have a long history of exploiting women in their campaign to save the animals, but somehow we feel like Stephanie Pratt is just un-exploitable. Literally. Like, you can’t exploit someone whose family members are willing to whore themselves out to any available camera or Twitter fight, and whose own track record seems to be going in a similar direction. We hate to say it, but this is the one time we sort of feel bad for PETA: having… More »
With all the photos of Angelina Jolie dressed in furs on the set of Salt people were wondering if it was real or fake fur. I was waiting for PETA to pounce because they’ve always been very outspoken about denouncing any celebrity wearing real fur for any reason (just ask Jennifer Lopez who has come under fire on many occasions!).
However, Angelina dodged a bullet because while her cape and hat are very beautiful and also realistic in appearance, the… More »
