Milo Ventimiglia's "Ultradome" Gets Picked Up By MSN

While we mostly know him as Jess from Gilmore Girls, Peter Petrelli from Heroes, or as the guy who broke the hearts of starlets, Milo Ventimiglia has also been getting behind the scenes and producing his own work. Earlier this year, he made a PSA with his Heroes co-star Masi Oka, and he owns a production company, Divide Pictures. Divide just announced that their web-series, “Ultradome,” has been picked up for distribution by MSN and will premiere in January 2010. Milo will serve as executive producer. The series will be featured on MSN’s “Comic-Con” related website Parallel Universe. Here’s how Tubefilter describes the series:

“The program pits comic and sci-fi fanboys against one another in a virtual octagon, where two individuals debate timeless topics like, “Would Harry Potter or Neo win in a fight?” and “Who’s the cooler vampire? Count Chocula or Lestat?”

"Heroes" Season 4 Review So Far

Ah, Heroes. As much as I love Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls), I’m pretty tempted to stop watching this show. Wow, way to not start off the season well! I’ve been pretty generous with this series so far – giving it multiple chances last season to get back my attention. Sometimes it did. I liked the character development. But this season, in attempting to “redeem” itself (so ironic given the Chapter is also Redemption), Heroes has introduced *way too many* new characters and I’m… not captivated.

We’re currently 4 episodes into the season and not much has happened. We’re still playing catch-up, it seems, with what all the characters (both old and new) are trying to achieve with their lives. Sometimes it’s boring (like with Claire – seriously seriously boring) and sometimes it’s repetitive (like with Hiro, played by Masi Oka who had a single guest-star appearance on Gilmore Girls ). But I can’t say there’s a single story-line I actually like right now. That’s not a good thing. Sure, I feel really sorry for Hiro. And everyone is struggling. But it feels so slow to me – what do you think?

The only thing that really captured my interest was the cliffhanger at the end of Monday’s episode, “Acceptance”, but at the same time… really? Isn’t that just re-using the same old plot line again?

In the next episode, “Hysterical Blindness”, we see Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) trying to connect with Emma, the deaf girl who could “see” sounds in a recent episode. Rumor has it she’ll be Peter’s new love interest. Otherwise, the episode is just dealing with more of the same, though with a lot more Sylar coming up in the next two episodes. I was glad to see, however, that in episode 6, “Tabula Rasa”, Peter and HRG are trying to find someone to cure Hiro. Cause the show would kind of be lame without Hiro, don’t you think?
