Idol Documentary Coming to Gospel Channel
A one-hour documentary called From Idol to Inspiration will air on the Gospel Music Channel this Thursday, April 23, 2009. The film “explores the effect of the Fox network singing competition on Christian music.” I think that is an interesting topic because I have thought about it myself over the years. American Idol season 6 cast-off, Phil Stacey, surprised many wedding guests at a reception at the Hyatt in Jacksonville, Florida last weekend.
Abe Salem and Susan Samaan got married last Saturday.
“The two got quite a treat when Stacey got up on stage and sang a song to the happy couple.
Guests from the wedding were outside the reception hall when they saw Stacey standing outside. He was attending a military event.

It’s 11:50pm, the van’s unpacked and I’m sitting in my recliner ready to go. I just got back in from a little family vacation to various locations in Ohio, and am finally getting a chance to sit down and watch the results show for American Idol. Don’t you just love having a DVR?

Poseur Idol? Attack of the Clones
Wow. Some have called this season’s contestants dull and unoriginal. Tonight might have been an example. Classics are classics and must be respected but, while almost everyone sang well enough, there was little that will keep me up tonight.

Live Blogging – Tuesday Night, April 3
Let’s see if we can get rid of Sanjaya this week with the Tony Bennett award show. One of the songs that he’s made popular is “Hit the Road Jack”, and hopefully we’ll be able to change that to “Hit the Road Sanjaya”. How old is Tony, but he’s still looking good.

Top 10 Results Show – Wednesday, March 28th
Will it be tonight? Will it finally happen and we can all be relieved when Sanjaya is voted off? He’s a joke of American Idol now. Granted, at this point he’s not much further above William Hung with regards to talent and respect on the show. When Ryan Seacrest is making jokes of you and coming out with his hair in a faux-hawk, something is definitely wrong here!

It’s time to be back to the two-hour length shows as they combine all 11 contestants into one show again. According to our latest poll, Sanjaya should be going home this week. He’s got 108 votes against him and Haley Scarnato has 17 right now.

Top 12 Performance Photos – The Guys
Probably the most entertaining performer to watch from the guys, but his performance didn’t do much for me at all Tuesday night.
Forgetting the words didn’t help at all, but Brandon’s performance as a whole left much to be desired. Only proved by the point that he was actually voted out by viewers before Sanjaya.
I used to put Chris in the same category with Blake Lewis, but now it seems he’s shifted to more of a country, nasal singer. Too squeaky… More »

Diana really likes the song he’s selected because she sang it with Marvin Gaye. “Make You Love Me”, working out his Harry Connick, Jr. vibe on this song. Love song crooner. He’s really throwing hte guantlet down for himself on this performance. A little falsetto highlight at the end of some notes. American Idol 6: Week 2 “Guys Night”
Ryan starts off the show by congratulating Jennifer Hudson for her Oscar, American Idol’s first! Jeff Foxworthy is in the audience tonight. Is it country night? After seeing Sanjaya Malakar’s outfit, I’m putting my money down on him singing a Michael Jackson song. We’re quickly reducing the field of contestants to 6.
