Phineas and Ferb, Vol.2: The Daze of Summer was released a couple of weeks ago on DVD. The set includes TEN episodes of the Disney animated show, Phineas and Ferb!

Super-smart and funny stepbrothers Phineas and Ferb come up with unusually exciting ways to spend the lazy, crazy “daze” of summer — like searching for pirate’s treasure, traveling to Mars, building Greek chariots, and hosting a Medieval jousting tournament! While the guys are cramming each long day with cool friends, awesome adventures and totally rocking music, their pet platypus, Perry (aka Agent P), continues to protect the world from the evil Dr. Doofenschmirtz. And, of course, their big sis, Candace, keeps busy texting her friends and trying to bust the bros.

Ashley Tisdale is the voice of Candice, while Vincent Martella stars as the voice of Phineas and Thomas Sangster as the voice of Ferb.

Vincent Martella recently chatted with Popstar about his Phineas voice!!

Popstar!:
The Phineas voice is amazing!

Vincent:
I came up with this wacky, crazy voice that sounds nothing like me! That was one of the reasons the creators liked it, cause it was unique! They were like, “Uh oh, his voice is going to change! What’s going to happen?” And my voice changed, but I kept the voice, which was awesome. I kept this unique voice that I had created, and I’m still using it.

Popstar!:
Is it amazingly fun doing a voice on this show?

Vincent:
It’s pretty funny to see me in the room, so singing or screaming, jumping around as Phineas. I get pretty wild when I act out as Phineas. And it comes out really well…because the writers make us funny! We’re okay, but they’re really funny people! They pull off the whole joke! Originally, they told us, “If you see anything, you’d like to do differently, let us know!”… We joke that our life is a sitcom! You see a script and you’re like, “Heh! That’s funny, I did that yesterday!” I have a lot of friends who are writers, and it’s a tough time right now with the strike. I support ‘em all the way!

Popstar!:
Unlike Miley Cyrus with her Hannah character, at least no one will mistake you for Phineas since he’s a cartoon!

Vincent:
For Christmas, we got my mom this shirt, and it has Phineas on it. We always say this line in the show that goes, “Aren’t you a little young to be…a roller coaster engineer?” or whatever the circumstance we are in. And I’ll always go, “Yes, yes I am.” So my mom has this shirt with Phineas saying that. And people will come up to her and go, “Oh, my gosh, I’ve seen that! That’s your son?” and she’ll be like, “Yeah!” and they ask, “Does he really have red hair?” and her answer back is, “Yes, and he has a triangular shaped head!”

Popstar!:
Are you friendly with the shows stars?

Vincent:
Yeah! Mitchel Musso and I are pretty good friends. We hung out and went to his birthday party for his sixteenth! It was a big deal! Alyson Stoner and I bump into each other every couple of sessions. Every time you run into someone in the lobby, you end up having a conversation that’s much longer than you intended it!…Billy Ray Cyrus will be coming onto the show! You will have to watch to see who he plays. I was in on the first recording session, and it sounded really good. It is a funny episode and he did a wonderful job!

Popstar!:
We heard about your trip to London to promote the show!

Vincent:
Yes, we are going to London. I’ve never been and the cast and the crew will be there, so that’s even better, cause they’re a fun group of people! Swampy, one of the creators, knows all about London. He lived there for a good six or seven years, so he knows all the hot spots! He’ll have to show me! The show actually aired there, like it did here, right after the premiere of HSM2! The response was pretty good! Plus, on the trip, I am also going to get to meet some of my castmates who I haven’t met yet! I actually haven’t met Thomas, who plays Ferb! He’s my brother and I haven’t met him yet!
