Controversy of the Day: Breast Implants From Lipo Fat?

Today’s Controversy of the Day: A pair of twin brother plastic surgeons in the U.K. are offering a breast implant alternative that sounds like a miracle cure. By liposuctioning fat from the stomach, mixing it with stem cells, and injecting it into the breasts, women can avoid silicone or saline implants. But before you get too excited, be sure to weigh the potential downsides.

There are several things wrong with this procedure, not the least of which is the fact that the fat can possibly harden or be absorbed back into the body, leaving the breasts lumpy and uneven (ew). It requires “topping up” every six months for two years, until the process needs to be repeated completely. The use of stem cells can accelerate breast cancer and possibly even cause it.

The procedure is so young that potentially devastating long-term effects have not been discovered yet, and it really shouldn’t be offered on a widespread basis. It seems that the procedure is much more experimental than the article would lead you to believe.

Would you risk having such an unproven procedure done? How far would you go to improve your body?

Lindsay Lohan Candid Videos

Here are two candid videos from yesterday. The first video is of Lindsay shopping at INA, where a huge crowd gathered to watch. Apparently the police had to be called and the windows covered so that Lindsay could shop with some privacy.

In the second video, Lindsay is shown returning to her hotel after shopping. It looks like a cyclist almost ran into her!

And Lindsay also pointed us to GossipCom, who put to rest any speculation about lip injections. Lindsay’s rep says Lindsay “uses a great lip plumper.”

Lindsay Lohan Has Lips Plumped?

There’s gossip that Lindsay’s had her lips done, but I’m not convinced. I think sometimes Lindsay makes her lips look pouty, but that doesn’t mean she’s had them done. However, it’s photos like the one below that are triggering this gossip.

Do you think Lindsay’s had her limps plumped? The photos in this post are of Lindsay leaving the Inglourious Basterds after-party.

I have one photo where Lindsay is in different shoes and jacket – perhaps this is of her arriving to the party?
