In addition, you can pre-order Samantha Who?: The Complete Second Season (starring Melissa McCarthy), which (unless the petition is successful) is the last season of the show. The DVD will *probably* contain the un-aired final episodes. Cancelled early in 2008 and also available on DVD are My Own Worst Enemy: The Complete Series (starring Mädchen Amick) and Trust Me (starring Vanessa Marano). And for those David Sutcliffe fans, don’t forget Private Practice: The Complete Second Season .

Gilmore Girls stars made SO many guest appearances on tv in the past year that I can’t name all the DVDs. But you’re sure to find the talented cast appearing in lots of your favorite shows!

Back in November when I last reviewed the ongoing relationship, David’s character had been shot and was struggling with feelings that he wasn’t good enough for Addison. And it was just a mess from there. In December, Kevin got in a huff about Addison treating a prostitute because of potential connections to crime. It ended up in a fight about Addison’s control issues and Kevin’s different perspective on life. He left… for a while. And it wasn’t great when they got back together briefly.

While back and unhappy with Kevin, Addison cheated on him by kissing a new guy, Wyatt, in the January 22nd episode ‘Nothing to Fear.‘ She lies to Kevin about it for a while but then comes clean – Kevin leaves. And for good. Here’s one of the Addison/Kevin scenes from this episode:

Liz Torres played a judge in the episode (2.07 ‘Tempting Faith’). She’s the judge presiding over a case where Violet (Amy Brenneman) is testifying in a trial against one of her clients, a pedophile. The judge decides that Violet must continue her therapy with the guy, which Violet is not happy about. Later, Violet has to call the judge back because she fears the pedophile will hurt a child.

Liz doesn’t have a large part, but I love seeing her in such a “commanding” role. See Liz Torres in the video below at about the 3:20 mark:

In this episode, David Sutcliffe’s character Kevin Nelson was shot on duty and had to undergo surgery, which plays a large part in the earlier sections of the video below:

He pulls through surgery ok, with his storyline picking up again at around 2 minutes in this video below. Kevin Nelson struggles here with thinking he’s not good enough for Addison (Kate Walsh):

David Sutcliffe attended the Sexiest Stars Party back in May of this year, and while there gave an interview in which he reflected on his Gilmore Girls experience, as Christopher Hayden. He talked about how much he loved being a part of the show, although he was disappointed with his storyline. David says he and Lauren Graham “keep up” and will “always be friends.”

In the interview, he was talking about his guest role on Private Practice. Since I haven’t reflected on that since earlier in the season, I thought it right to bring that up again. David Sutcliffe has been continuing his guest arc on the show as Officer Kevin Nelson, who has a romantic interest with Addison (Kate Walsh). There have been some fantastic scenes with the couple, as evidenced by this series of scenes from episode 6:

The episode, previously entitled “Hiding in Plain Sight” aired as “A Family Thing”. David Sutcliffe returned as Officer Kevin Nelson, who has romantic interests with Addison (Kate Walsh). In the 11 episodes David has scheduled for this season, his character Kevin will be competing against Dr. Pete Wilder (Tim Daly) to win Addison’s affections.

David Sutcliffe will return to Private Practice in the third episode, “Nothing to Talk About”, which will air on October 22nd (he has no appearance, that I know of, in tomorrow night’s episode). In “Nothing to Talk About” Charlotte tries to get Addison to come work at St. Ambrose Hospital with the promise of surgeries. Meanwhile, Addison and Kevin’s relationship heats up (promise of steamy scenes to come!).

David Sutcliffe made a few appearances in Season 1 of Private Practice as Officer Kevin Nelson, a new love interest for Dr. Addison. We saw, in the final episode of the season prior to the WGA strike stopping production, some significant glances between Kevin & Addison.

The photograph shown is of David Sutcliffe at TV Guide’s Sexiest Stars Party in Hollywood at Katsuya and S Bar on May 1, 2008. David reminisced on Gilmore Girls (very interesting stuff) – you can watch that video here.

Keiko played a nun, Sister Amy. The Sisters have come down with typhoid, which is how they weave into the episode. She looks a lot different than ‘Lane’ – older, more serious, and with a tattoo on her arm (hers or the characters, I’m not sure).

David Sutcliffe was not in this episode of Private Practice, and guest-cast has not been announced for the next (and possibly last, for a while) episode of Private Practice.

Sorry I missed letting you know about the date of his first appearance before the show. I kept looking for the exact date he’d be on, but it was never listed anywhere. Anyway, he’s a show regular at least for now, so tune in every week.
