According to The Village Voice, the leaked documents contain detailed information on the church’s surveillance activities, which included “public record checks” and “special collections,” the latter of which basically means digging through someone’s trash for incriminating stuff. The people they did this to included Matt and Trey’s famous friends John Stamos and Rebecca Romijn, who were married at the time.

I asked Rathbun what kind of things OSA’s operatives would be looking for in the trash of Parker and Stone and their friends.

“Phone records. Bank records. Personal letters that expose some kind of vulnerability. They’ll read stuff into the kind of alcohol you’re drinking and how much. Prescriptions. They’ll figure out your diet. They can find out a lot about you through your trash,” he told me this morning by phone from his home in South Texas.

“You can see that the commanding officer is pissed off and not enough is getting done,” he says about the final lines from the OSA [Office Of Special Affairs] document. But additional documents show that the investigation did get going in a big way, and we’ll have more about that soon.

“Figure out your diet”? That’s some serious wackness, right there. “Breaking: Uncle Jesse eats Lucky Charms for breakfast!” Way to break a scandal, guys.

The church also tried to plant a mole of theirs in the writers room so as to get inside intel on Stone and Parker. It’s not yet known whether any of this proved fruitful, but the show seems to have continued on its merry, funny way, so I’m guessing they failed spectacularly. But even if they had gotten something on them, I’m not sure how it would have improved the image of Scientology. I mean, wasn’t the whole point of the episode that Scientologists are crazy, pissy, alien-worshippers who lash out at anyone who threatens their stranglehold on the rubes who fund their pseudo-church? Hiding in Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s bushes is sort of just proving their point.

UPDATE: And now they have issued a half-baked denial. Cool.

But even one year of night school can be beneficial when you’re playing a defense attorney working the Las Vegas strip.

“It was a school called Southwestern. I have to admit, it’s been invaluable, having gone to law school and then getting onto this project.”

Now there’s an actor who really does his homework for a role.

John was in court to testify against his alleged extorters, Allison Coss and her boyfriend Scott Sippola, who John claims tried to get him to pay them $680,000 for photos of him doing blow and hanging with strippers in 2004. The Full House star admitted he had a “flirty” email relationship, but said he didn’t know she was 17 at the time.

John said he met Allison in Florida during a visit with three friends who were trying to cheer him up after his split with supermodel Rebecca Romijn, PopEater reported. The two met at a club, so John said he assumed Allison was at least 18. Then they went back to his hotel room with a group of other people, where the alleged photos were snapped. But since the photos have never been recovered, even by the FBI, it’s hard to know exactly what went down that night.

Despite the serious nature of the trial, John still managed to crack jokes. During one point, defense attorney Frank Stupak asked if the actor was friends with Charlie Sheen. Caught off guard, John replied, “No, but I know Lindsay Lohan,” causing the courtroom to “erupt” in laughter, according to PopEater.

Josh Duhamel and Fergie (Stacy Ferguson) of the band "Black Eyed Peas" exchanged wedding vows at a ceremony in Malibu California Saturday. The event was held at the Church Estates Vineyards and attended by about 400 guests including Rebecca Romijn, Jerry O’Connell, Mario Lopez, Stacy Kiebler, Slash, Kate Hudson, James Caan, Molly Sims and Vanessa Marcil.

The bride wore a dress by Dolce and Gabanna and according to reports – the ceremony took place beneath magnolia trees filled with white roses.

The plans for the wedding were ultra-secret – in fact, guests were informed Saturday morning of the whereabouts and cell phones forbidden.

The bride carried a bouquet of white flowers studded with crystals as 10 bridesmaids dressed in contrasting black looked on.

Congratulations to Josh and Fergie – they really are one of my favorite couples.

I can’t wait to see actual photos of the couple during the ceremony – I wonder who will be the first to deliver them?

Rebecca Romijn and husband Jerry O’Connell welcomed their twin girls, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip, on Dec. 28, according to Usmagazine.com.

Howard Stern first announced the birth on his radio show detailing the naming of the girls. "They had twin girls, Dolly and Charlie," Stern said. "Rebecca likes Dolly Parton, so they named the one after Dolly Parton, and Jerry got to name the other one Charlie, but his brother’s name is Charlie — and it’s a girl Charlie."
