Nicole Richie Has a Valuable Face

Forbes released their annual list of celebrities with the most valuable faces. Nicole Richie came in at #5, thanks to her daughter Harlow’s baby pictures appearing in People. Her People cover had the third highest sales of the year.

Coming in at number one was another celebrity mom–Angelina Jolie. Jolie also sold her baby pictures of twins Knox and Vivienne to People, in what is rumored to be the most expensive photo sale ever.

Rounding out the list were Jennifer Aniston, Heath Ledger and Jamie Lynn Spears before Nicole. Jessica Simpson, Suri Cruise, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, Heidi Montag and Owen Wilson round out the top ten.

Forbes factored in gross magazine sales as well as the celebrities’ notoriety and likability when creating the final list.

With Shiloh and Suri making the list, I’m sure it will only be a matter of time before Harlow is too! She was a big reason Nicole sold so many covers this year!

First Look at Nicole Richie’s Jewelry Line

The video below is our first look at Nicole Richie’s new jewelry line House of Harlow 1960. The costume line uses lots of unique details, like feathers, leather, silk, rivets and more. The line was designed with Mouwad and will retail for $30-$150. It’s expected to hit stores near you in November!

Nicole is modeling House of Harlow for the October issue of In Style. TV Guide was on hand for the shoot and put together the video belo for us. I’m excited to see this issue, it looks like the shoot is going to be great!

I think the line looks very Nicole. I love it. Would you wear it?

Nicole Richie’s New Jewelry Line

Nicole Richie has been hard at work on a line of costume jewelry, according to the National Jeweler Network. The 30-piece collection will be called House of Harlow, after Nicole’s daughter. It will feature fabrics, feather and gold-plated materials and should be in stores as early as this fall.

The line will retail between $50-$150 dollars. Nicole is collaborating with jeweler Mouwad on the creative line.

“It’s different in that it targets Nicole’s fans, a younger audience,” Mouwad owner Pascal Mouwad says. “[Nicole is] really a fashion icon herself. Whatever she wears, people like to wear. Her wearing it and promoting it will attract her fan base.”

I’m really excited to see what Nicole and company has in store for this jewelry line. It sounds really interesting and I bet a lot of Nicole’s personal style will come through.

Low-Key Birthday for Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie’s pal Paris Hilton attended a private screening of her film Repo over the weekend with boyfriend Benji Madden. While walking the red carpet, Paris chatted with reporters about her new show My New BFF, her real BFF, Nicole, and Nicole’s birthday celebrations this past weekend.

While Paris has her new reality show that searches for her new best friend, Paris was adamant that no one could replace Nicole.

“Nicole is more than a best friend,” Paris told Extra. “She’s like a sister since we’ve been best friends since we were two… She hasn’t seen the show, but she’s looking forward to it.”

As for Nicole’s birthday celebrations, the friends kept it a low-key family affair.

“Benji, Nicole, Joel, and Harlow…We all went to dinner and had a nice family dinner,” Paris said. “It was really sweet.”

Harlow Madden is Talking!

Eight month old Harlow Madden has said her first words, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden told Extra!

“She says ‘mama’ and ‘dada’,” Joel told the newsmagazine show. “She says “dada” when she wants to play. Wants to laugh. And “mama” is everything else.”

Not only has Harlow reached that all-important milestone, she’s growing up to be a happy and well-adjusted baby.

“When we walk into a place, she waves to everyone,” Joel added.

It’s great to see this family doing so well. They all seem so happy and working hard at making sure that Harlow is well cared for.

Nicole Richie & Joel Madden Want You to Text for Charity

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are trying inventive new ways to get their young and tech-savvy fans involved in efforts to do good. Their latest venture is a text-messaging campaign. The duo is partnering with MySpace to raise funds for their children’s charity, the Richie-Madden Children’s Foundation.

“We hope our support will shine a spotlight on important issues facing children and will inspire and educate the public, especially young people, to get involved, too. We want to do more than write checks,” Nicole and Joel write on their website.

The “Text CHILD to 90999″ campaign’s primary goal is to build a playground in a housing project in LA.

“We think there should be a playground on the concrete slab you’re sitting on,” Joel said at a recent event.. “It’s bigger than building a playground, but this is an exciting start. And I’ll come play on it.”

I think this is a fun and neat way to raise money for charity. I wish Nicole, Joel and their charity the best in this endeavor.

Rumor: Nicole Richie’s New Germ Fear

Gossip sites are reporting that one of the reasons Nicole Richie has gone organic and eco-friendly with all their food and baby products since the birth of Harlow.

“Nicole double washes her daughter Harlow’s clothes and double sanitises her bottles, baby spoons – anything Harlow eats out of,” a source tells the National Enquirer. “Even the cleaning supplies in the house have to be organic and non-toxic.”

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with caring about the well-being of your child, but they are claiming that Nicole has been taking it to extreme levels and that Joel is even starting to worry about her.

“Joel has always worried about germs, but Joel feels she has taken it too far,” the source adds. “Joel wants Harlow to grow up healthy, but he thinks all this double-sterilising is weird.”

Double-sterlizing is pretty strange and if you keep your baby too protected from the elements, it could hurt them in the end. However, this report comes from the National Enquirer, so I don’t believe it. It must have beena really slow news day if they felt the need to comment on Nicole’s ability to act like a regular mom.
